WWE 2K22 Cut Content Includes Bray Wyatt And Another Showcase Match
Emma Terry
Two weeks into WWE 2K22's life and players continue to find some of the secrets hidden away in the game's files. Alternate versions of Superstars previously only available in MyFaction have been unofficially made available in other modes, as have non-wrestling characters from MyRise. That last one already appears to have been patched out of the game by 2K, presumably because it stripped Byron Saxton down to his underwear.
The Fiend Is (Sort Of) In WWE 2K22
WhatsTheStatus is the modder responsible for all the above, and their latest discovery might well be the most exciting to date. The 2K22 player has been sharing a number of things they've discovered on the new WWE game's cutting room floor. The most notable item from everything found so far is Bray Wyatt, or more accurately Wyatt's entrance, music, and even a Firefly Funhouse.

The cut Wyatt content also includes his Fiend persona on the fronts of MyFaction packs. Wyatt was released in July 2021, though wrestlers who were let go before that, like Braun Strowman, have made it into the game. Ruby Riott And Jushin Liger
The discovery of all the Wyatt assets is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the recently discovered cut content. There's also Ruby Riott, now known as Ruby Soho, stuff in there, and a missing match from Rey Mysterio's Showcase. Fans were critical of Mysterio's list of Showcase matches when it was revealed prior to launch, citing that a number of the luchador's biggest moments were missing.
It was also noted that only one match from WCW made the cut despite that part of Mysterio's career being such a huge part of what he's achieved in the business. The card for the cut match is for his iconic showdown against Jushin 'Thunder' Liger at Starrcade 1996. Liger's name and likeness is owned by multiple parties, making it very complex to use him in games and probably explains why the match didn't make it into the final game.
