Whisper Porn, ASMR and ‘Head Orgasms,’ Explained

Writer Daniel Cobb

Eye exam videos do lack a certain trigger—mechanical physical contact—that exists in other medical tests. Chiropractic demos generally fill this niche. I don’t mean the videos where someone gets twisted until the back emits a deafening crack, though my informal survey of YouTube comment sections suggests some people do find those scenes satisfying in the way scratching an itch is.

What I’m looking for is more like the above video, which features a technique that involves lots of tracing of the patient’s head with the chiropractor’s thumbs. (Apparently that’s called KST. I know—another arcane acronym.) I’m completely mystified as to how it supposedly works, but if you find yourself thinking too hard about the science involved, the video probably isn’t working as an ASMR trigger.
