The PICTURE command controls whether File-AID displays a PICTURE line or a DISPLAY line for edited numeric data fields.

The command is available in the Browse and Edit functions in Formatted mode.

ON

Displays a PICTURE or a DISPLAY information line for edited numeric data fields, depending on whether the fields are compatible with the data picture specified in the record layout. If the fields are compatible, File-AID displays a DISPLAY line. If they are incompatible, File-AID displays a PICTURE line.

OFF

Does not display a PICTURE or a DISPLAY information line for edited numeric data fields.
