As Heavy noted, this couple began dating officially back in 2009. Candice Crawford was actually working in broadcasting at the time, as a reporter and anchor for local station CW33 in Dallas, for whom she "covered high school sports and hosted a daily lifestyle segment." As her brother, Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford, revealed during a 2016 interview on The Rich Eisen Show, she and Tony Romo actually met while she was interning for the Cowboys. 

Following an interview with Romo, he casually asked her out on a movie/dinner date. However, Crawford was concerned her parents' Cowboys obsession would put the NFL star off, so when he came to pick her up, she made them hide. "She didn't realize Tony was coming over to pick her up. It caught her off-guard, so she pushes my parents back [in their master bathroom]. I thought that was really funny," Chace recalled.
