According to Celeb Heights, Uma Thurman is a striking 5 feet, 11 inches tall. Even though Thurman's height landed her a modeling gig as a teenager, she has often discussed the insecurities she felt regarding her tallness around that time. Speaking with Jonathan Ross on BBC One in 2006, Thurman said, "I was always physically insecure ... big feet, too tall, not co-ordinated or together" (via BBC). During the interview, she credited her time as a working actress, as well as therapy, as sources of confidence in her adult life.

These sentiments of self-doubt were echoed in an interview with The Sun in 2012, where Thurman revealed that, "It took me until about 35 to walk without being self-conscious." She said that everything was easier for her now than it was when she was a child, as she has learned over the years to be confident in her appearance and to just enjoy her life as much as possible without giving added thought to her insecurities.
