Final Fantasy XIV: How To Get Diabolos Wings
Emma Terry
To unlock the Diabolos Wings in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, Warriors of Light will need to earn a particular currency known as Sacks of Nuts.
The Diabolos Wings is a Fashion Accessory in Final Fantasy XIV, inspired by the wings of Diabolos, a recurring creature in the Final Fantasy series. Long-time fans of the series will undoubtedly recognize the flying demon's name from past titles, such as Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy VIII, and Final Fantasy XI. As for his appearance in Final Fantasy XIV, Diabolos serves as the final boss in the Level 50 dungeon of A Realm Reborn, Lost City of Amdapor, and later plays a role in the story involving the Heavensward Alliance Raid, The Void Ark.
Although the Diabolos has not made a physical cameo in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, players can appreciate the demon's wings as an edgy and visually appealing Fashion Accessory for their fashionista needs or Glamour Sets. The Diabolos Wings accurately corresponds with its source material's design, featuring a fiery orange and reddish glow from the wings' center, transitioning into a dark, devilish bat-like wingspan. Even those unfamiliar with Diabolos can doubtless relish the sinister theme of this striking Fashion Accessory in Final Fantasy XIV.
To unlock the Diabolos Wings Fashion Accessory in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, Warriors of Light must purchase the item from either J'lakshai in Old Sharlayan (X: 11.9 Y: 13.2) or Wilmetta in Radz-at-Han (X: 10.5 Y: 7.4). Both of these Hunt Vendors do business exclusively with Sacks of Nuts, a currency introduced in Shadowbringers. To earn these "nuts," FFXIV fans will need to participate in an activity known as the Hunt.
Unlocking Diabolos Wings In FFXIV
The Hunt in Final Fantasy XIV is initially unlocked in Heavensward via the blue side quest, "Elite and Dangerous," given by Ardolain near The Forgotten Knight tavern. The activity involves hunting down specific trash mobs, elite enemies, and field bosses that spawn across each expansion's various maps. These hunting expeditions will reward players with a special currency, and the Sack of Nuts is the chosen currency for Shadowbringers and Endwalker. In other words, players can complete Hunt bounties in both of the expansions to acquire the Diabolos Wings.
FFXIV players can access the Hunt in Endwalker once they've reached Old Sharlayan and completed "The Hunt for Specimens" from Diminutive Gleaner near the Guildship Hunt Board. At first, low-rank daily bounties like Junior Guildship Mark Bills will only net FFXIV players with 3 Sacks of Nuts each, but high-rank weekly elite marks offer up to 100 Sacks of Nuts for each target. Once players have earned 800 Sacks of Nuts in Final Fantasy XIV, they will be able to purchase the Diabolos Wings from a Guildship Hunt Vendor.
