Enzo Amore Explains Why He Crashed Survivor Series

Writer Daniel Davis

Enzo Amore finally explained why he bought a ticket to Survivor Series and riled up the crowd before being escorted out of the building.

Fans who have attended a WWE show recently know better than anyone that if WWE doesn't want to show something on camera, it will cut around it. Massive parts of an arena empty due to low ticket sales? No problem. WWE just won't show it on television. The trouble is, 99% of people now have a camera in their pocket wherever they go, and a platform to post all their photos and videos instantaneously.

That was very evident during Survivor Series last month. Enzo Amore, who was released by WWE earlier in the year, bought himself a ringside seat for the show. The former Cruiserweight Champion spent the first few matches in disguise quietly watching the show. Then, he decided to shed said disguise, stand on his chair and rile up the crowd around him.

WWE didn't show Amore on the live feed, but the former WWE Superstar soon began trending on Twitter as fan-shot footage filtered onto Twitter. Most assumed Amore was trying to promote his music, but apparently not. During a show in New York recently, Amore revealed the thought process behind his actions at Survivor Series. You can check out some of those thoughts below for yourself but be warned, the first clip does contain language some might find offensive.

Amore claims his publicity stunt at the PPV "had nothing to do with my music." He then states that he did it because he "knew for a fact Vince McMahon would be heated more than anything in the world," but also believes the WWE chairman respects what he did. We're not so sure about that, but we guess Amore knows Mr. McMahon better than we do since he used to work for him.

However, as you can hear in the second clip, Amore claims that Lisa the security guard informed him he would have to go and see the boss. Instead, Amore ducked out and jumped into an Uber that was waiting for him outside. We'd have thought an audience with Mr. McMahon would have been the best possible outcome and that considering his reasons, that sounds like what he was angling for.
