Early Edge vs. Roman Reigns WrestleMania Betting Odds Revealed

Writer Emma Terry

At last Sunday's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, Royal Rumble winner Edge officially challenged Roman Reigns to a Universal Championship match at WrestleMania 37 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Reigns always felt like the obvious and leading candidate to face Edge. This is a real dream match, and the buildup between the two stars began on the post-Royal Rumble episode of SmackDown.

The Rated-R Superstar revealed his decision by attacking Reigns following the latter's successful title defense against Daniel Bryan.

BetOnline has revealed the early betting odds for Reigns vs. Edge, and unsurprisingly, there is no favorite. Both superstars currently hold equal -120 odds to walk out of WrestleMania as the champion.

The main event matches for WrestleMania are often predictable, but Reigns vs. Edge could really go either way. The Hall of Famer is among the few realistic candidates to end Reigns' lengthy title run, after all.

Two weeks ago, Ringside News reported that WWE has settled on the winner of the match, though the spoiler wasn't revealed.

Of course, Vince McMahon can always make a last-minute change like he did at WrestleMania XXX, when he opted to have Brock Lesnar end The Undertaker's WrestleMania streak.

Bryan will be somewhat involved in the Reigns-Edge WrestleMania buildup. If the former defeats Jey Uso in a steel cage match next week, he'll receive a Universal Championship match against Reigns at the March 21 Fastlane pay-per-view.

This will be the first ever one-on-one showdown between Reigns and Edge. They did square off at the 2020 Royal Rumble, with Reigns eliminating the Ultimate Opportunist before he was last taken out by Drew McIntyre.

This Will Be A True WrestleMania Classic

Edge has wrestled in three singles matches since his in-ring return. But the stakes are even higher here as he tries to win the Universal Championship off of WWE's top heel. The buildup between the two has been nothing short of exciting so far, and their showdown should be a match for the ages. Don't be surprised if Edge vs. Reigns goes down as an all time WrestleMania classic.
