CM Punk's Camp Making Up AEW All Out Aftermath Allegations [Report]

Writer Liam Parker

News that the investigation into the alleged altercation between CM Punk and members of The Elite following AEW's presentation of All Out have brought with it conflicting reports as to where things are at with each member of the roster involved and their respective accounts of what actually took place that night. The latest was that CM Punk was upset that his dog Larry was injured during the interaction, but a new report questions the validity of that report, at least the way it's being told by parties connected to CM Punk.

Today, Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Dave Meltzer reported that sources connected to The Elite are claiming Punk's version of the events is "a completely made-up story." He goes on to say that Punk's camp is in desperation mode because he's "losing" in the investigation results and it's going to be revealed that he was well in the wrong with all of what went down. And, because The Elite is seemingly being promoted by AEW for a return, the report suggests that Punk's version of the events is fairly convenient considering the way AEW is moving forward suggests The Elite has been removed from the investigation.

Another source, who is said not to have an affiliation with either side of the altercation called the story about Larry the dog "a complete lie." Their report suggests Punk was a "total psycho" during the melee, and that it was Kenny Omega who tried to move Larry out of harm's way when Punk lost control and didn't care about anything or anyone during the fight. Ace Steel was said to have been out of control too, throwing chairs and punches, and trying to bite Omega during the incident.

Not Looking For Good For Punk

If it turns out that Punk's side made up the story about the dog to gain sympathy, this is really going to look bad for Punk. The one thing fans might have understood was defending a beloved pet, but if his side is using the dog to save his skin in all of this, fans may never forgive him.

As with any story like this, we may never truly get the real story until all parties involved sit down and hash it out publicly or video footage surfaces. That's unlikely to ever happen.
