Caleb Greenwood continues to support his 90 Day Fiancé partner Alina Kozhevnikova after her old racist social media posts surfaced online.

Former 90 Day Fiancé star Caleb Greenwood broke his silence about Alina Kozhevnikova getting fired from TLC over her racist posts. 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5 introduced the franchise’s first little person, Alina, from Russia, who instantly won hearts. Alina, a singer from St. Petersburg had met Caleb from Arizona in the most unique way possible. The couple knew each other since they were teenagers after Alina sent Caleb a friend request on Facebook. With time and age, Alina and Caleb drifted apart but reconnected 13 years later when he swiped her right on Tinder before a vacation in Russia.

While the Russia trip didn’t work out, Caleb and Alina did end up meeting face to face in Turkey. Alina was then considered a sweetheart and fans were in awe of the “My P***y Has WiFi” singer. Caleb’s awkward reaction to Alina’s height owing to her Diastrophic Dysplasia was called out by fans. But when they started seeing how pushy Alina was when it came to them having sex, viewers mocked her as well. But fans really wanted Alina removed from the  90 Day Fiancé franchise when the 27-year-old reposted a “throwback” Instagram photo for which she’d used an N-word in the caption. Alina tried to claim it was Photoshopped, but fans discovered similar racially insensitive posts on her Instagram and Facebook.

After weeks of protests from viewers, Alina was fired from Before the 90 Days. Alina and Caleb’s storyline ended hastily and they were wiped from the remaining episodes. 90 Day Fiancé fans felt bad for Caleb who technically was at no fault but still had to suffer the consequences. In a recent interview with @thesarahfrasershow, Caleb was asked if he ever felt that Alina was racist. The host wanted to know if Alina’s posts were a surprise to Caleb. He replied that people do ask him, “how did that come out? How did no one know?” As per Caleb, he never witnessed “that” in Alina. Caleb tried to explain that Alina’s racist posts were made “a while back.”

Caleb has only ever seen his ex-girlfriend as a person who’s generous and loving towards everything and everyone. Caleb insisted that Alina “doesn’t think that way” in terms of any sort of racism. In fact, according to Caleb, Alina is someone who is a supporter of equality for everyone, considering she is disabled herself. Alina's racist posts took Caleb by surprise just like they did the viewers. Caleb found himself asking, “where did these come from?” and “How did I miss this?” But Caleb pointed out that many of Alina’s controversial posts were from a decade ago. Meanwhile, Alina shared the video of Caleb to her own Instagram stories while writing, “yeah well people learn and grow ok duh.”

There’s no chance of Alina returning to the 90 Day Fiancé franchise after the scandal. But fans have been wondering if Caleb could make a comeback with a spin-off, possibly 90 Day: The Single Life. Alina has apologized to those who were hurt by her actions and her words. Alina also recently addressed TLC’s double standards for not holding her fellow castmate Mike Berk, who was also found making racist and even transphobic posts, responsible and treating him the same way they treated her.
