Braun Strowman Shows Off Insane Physique Following Release From WWE

Writer Emma Terry

Former WWE superstar Braun Strowman has been putting some work in on the back of his release from the promotion. Strowman was among the talents released in WWE's latest round of cuts and it remains to be seen where he will end up.

The towering performer took to Instagram this week to offer his followers an update on his dieting journey. "Diet update since I haven’t posted a progress pic in a bit," he wrote as the caption to a video and a few photos. "Trying a clean Ish bulk. After five meals today I was 357lbs in the scale. On my way to 370/375 ish then gonna turn it into granite!!!! Told y’all I ain’t playing around."

WWE is reported to have released Strowman because Vince McMahon didn't see him as someone he would need moving forward. According to the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, McMahon is of the view that Omos and Shanky will be enough as it pertains to being the big men on Raw while Commander Azeez will function in such a capacity on SmackDown.

Meltzer also revealed that Strowman's $1.2 million dollar deal had something to do with his release as he didn't insist on a no-cut clause when he signed his extension. Given that WWE had three other giants to promote, they took it as an opportunity to free themselves of Strowman's hefty deal with the company.

Where's Strowman Headed To Now?

Mark Henry has revealed that there's mutual interest between Strowman and AEW. Henry moved to the younger promotion last month and, last week, revealed the Monster Among Men was “Super high on my list."

"It’s not an all Mark Henry decision, but there’s already interest on both sides," he continued, "so hopefully, by the time he’s allowed to wrestle in August, I think the middle of August, then we could have a serious conversation about contractual things of that nature. But right now there’s interest on both sides.”
