What’s better than beating your rival? Rubbing their face in it afterwards, of course.

That’s precisely what Al-Hilal’s Ali Albulayhi did after his side beat Al-Nassr in the Riyadh derby.

As noted by Sports Illustrated, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic opened the scoring before Aleksandar Mitrovic grabbed two late goals to give Al-Hilal a 3-0 win.

That wasn’t the biggest talking point during the game, as Albulayhi took that honour. The defender was spotted squaring up to Cristiano Ronaldo during the match, getting in the face of the Portuguese superstar.

Ronaldo didn’t give the defender the satisfaction of reacting to his taunts, but Albulayhi was done with him.

Sports Brief also reported that Al-Nassr manager Luis Castro employed an unconventional strategy to dispute Cristiano Ronaldo's disallowed goal against Al-Hilal during the Riyadh Derby.

After Sadio Mane delivered a precise cross to Ronaldo, resulting in a left-footed equalizer, the assistant referee flagged it as offside, abruptly halting the celebration.

Seeking to contest the decision, Castro approached the referee, arguing against the offside call, vouching for Ronaldo's positioning during the goal-scoring play.
