AEW Announces New Weekly Show On TBS, All Access

Writer Emma Terry

If, like many wrestling fans, you already struggle to keep up with the sheer amount of weekly programming between WWE and AEW alone, time to take another peek at that schedule. AEW hyped a big announcement from Tony Khan on Dynamite this week, and while the belief before the show was that it would relate to the promotion's imminent trip to the UK, it was actually regarding a new show that will air on TBS.

AEW All Access

Khan was actually on screen for a very short amount of time, handing the reins to Adam Cole so the returning star could make the announcement instead. Cole revealed AEW's new weekly show will be called All Access. Airing directly after Dynamite on TBS every week, All Access will be a little different from the other three hours of programming AEW already has through Warner Bros. Discovery.

It will also be different from Dark and Dark: Elevation, the two weekly shows AEW airs on YouTube. All Access will give fans a peek behind the scenes, following wrestlers like Cole, Britt Baker, Tay Conti, and The Young Bucks. While there seemingly won't be any actual wrestling on the show, its description in Variety makes it sound like it will still follow storylines and build on and towards angles on Dynamite and Rampage.

After Dynamite Every Week

“With the new ‘AEW: All Access’ series, [fans] will have a chance to peek behind the curtain and into the lives of their favorite wrestlers like never before. To show the human side of some of these larger-than-life figures,” Khan said. Not the first show like this to air on WBD's networks as Rhodes to the Top was the first. It's unclear how similar All Access will be to that first attempt from AEW to make an unscripted show like this one work.

An exact air date for the first episode of All Access wasn't divulged, but the new hour of AEW programming is expected to debut as soon as March. Cole being the one to make the announcement suggests he will be the first big focus of the show, likely telling more of the backstory behind his comeback from a debilitating concussion that almost ended his career.
