As a number of colossal matches take place at the Grandest Stage of Them All, the fans, as well as the Superstars, eagerly wait for it for the whole year. There have been a number of WrestleMania events that stood out from the rest in the past. Let's take a look at five reasons why WrestleMania x-Seven was the best one, and five reasons why it was WrestleMania XXX.

10 WrestleMania 17: Stone Cold Steve Austin's Heel Turn

WWE has had several significant heel turns in history, but Stone Cold's famous heel turn at WrestleMania 17, should always remain an unforgettable scenario. Stone Cold Steve Austin faced The Rock, as the latter put the WWE Championship on the line.

Surprisingly, the match got interrupted by Vince McMahon, Stone Cold's notorious rival. Although Vince and Stone Cold were foes, they joined hands at WrestleMania 17, shocking a myriad of fans. The WWE Universe could not believe their eyes, and Austin took a dirty way to get a victory over The Great One.

9 WrestleMania 30: The Shield's Domination

The Shield was invincible since making their debut, and they conquered everyone on the WWE roster, including Evolution. Dominating the tag team division over a year, The Shield already established itself. With that being said, The Shield had a match at WrestleMania XXX, where they locked horns with Kane and The New Age Outlaws in a six-man tag team match.

Given The Shield's opponents, they were expected to deliver a great fight. However, the actual scenario was different. The Shield showed their supremacy by winning the match in less than three minutes.

8 WrestleMania 17: Father Vs Son In A Street Fight

Not everyday a father gets the opportunity of facing his son in the squared circle. But it happened at WrestleMania X-Seven, when Vince McMahon, the WWE Chairman, faced his own son, Shane McMahon. While Vince had Stephanie McMahon and Trish Stratus by his side, Shane had a Linda McMahon in a wheelchair. Mick Foley was the special guest referee of the match.

Stephanie and Trish had a major disagreement, resulting in a brawl. It was an impressive bout and both men did well in a street fight. It was Shane, who had the last laugh, as Linda helped him to earn the victory over his father.

7 WrestleMania 30: Bray Wyatt's First Defeat On The Main Roster

Making his NXT debut in 2012, Bray Wyatt had remained unbeaten for nearly two years, terrorizing everyone as the leader of The Wyatt Family. With Eric Rowan and Luke Harper by his side, Wyatt was a great leader. He faced his first major threat at WrestleMania XXX against John Cena.

The build-up of the match was interesting. Known to play mind games, Bray Wyatt tried everything in his arsenal but failed to execute against Cena. After an impressive battle lasting 22 minutes, Cena pinned Wyatt and the latter experienced his first loss on the main roster.

6 WrestleMania 17: Kurt Angle Vs Chris Benoit

Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle, two greatest performers ever to grace the WWE ring, were part of WrestleMania X-Seven. As a matter of fact, the two men collided in a singles match at the Grandest Stage of Them All. Given the technicality of both men in between the ropes, it was bound to be an excellent match, and they didn't let down the fans.

It was a fast-paced affair, as both men tried taking down each other multiple times. Showing his amateur wrestling background, Angle tackled Benoit several times. At the end of the match, the Olympic Gold Medalist stood tall.

5 WrestleMania 30: Daniel Bryan Crossed The First Hurdle

Daniel Bryan's rise to the top culminated at WrestleMania XXX, where he created history, not once but twice. While Bryan main-eveted The Show of Shows, he had to cross a big hurdle to reach the main event of the night.

Bryan was scheduled to face Triple H in a singles match early in the show. The winner of the match would automatically qualify for the main event, getting a WWE World Heavyweight Title shot. Overcoming the odds, Bryan proved to The Game that he wasn't a B+ player, and crossed his first obstacle. The match was exceptional, and the fans started to believe in Bryan, getting behind him in the main event.

4 WrestleMania 17: The Classic Encounter Between The Undertaker & Triple H

Arguably WrestleMania is the yard of The Undertaker, and he had a colossal battle at WrestleMania X-Seven, where he took on Triple H, their first WrestleMania bout. As it was expected from two behemoths, they took each other to their limits, producing one of the best matches of the event.

The Deadman was already on the unbeaten streak. Triple H, on the other hand, was eager to put an end to it. There were several close moments in that match, and it lasted over 18 minutes. After this incredible match, Triple H and Undertaker had wrestled twice more at The Show of Shows.

3 WrestleMania 30: The Main Event

Qualifying for the main event, Daniel Bryan had the real task of beating two prominent Superstars to become the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Randy Orton and Batista, close allies of Triple H, faced Bryan in a triple threat match. Moreover, Bryan was exhausted from his previous match and had a kayfabe injury.

Bryan wrote his name in the history books by winning the main event of WrestleMania XXX, conquering the insurmountable task. It was certainly one of the biggest main events in the history of WrestleMania, and it was a perfect way to end the story.

2 WrestleMania 17: The Fantastic Tag Team Match And Edge's Iconic Spear

The tag-team division of WWE contained some noteworthy names in 2001. Putting the tag team titles on the line, The Dudley Boyz, then the tag team champions, faced Edge and Christian and The Hardy Boyz in a triple threat tag team match. The match was exciting because it was also a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match.

As expected from these three elite tag teams of WWE, they tore the house down with some jaw-dropping maneuvers. Edge's iconic Spear to Jeff Hardy from the ladder took place in this match. In the end, Edge and Christian were winners of the match. But arguably, the real winners were the fans.

1 WrestleMania 30: End Of The WrestleMania Streak

Perhaps the most shocking incident in WrestleMania history happened at WrestleMania XXX. Winning his previous twenty-one WrestleMania bouts, The Undertaker faced Brock Lesnar, whom he had never defeated. Unfortunately, the incredible WrestleMania streak came to an end, when Brock Lesnar silenced the fans in New Orleans by pinning The Deadman.

Every single fan in the arena was in disbelief after the streak was over. Although The Undertaker was defeated for the first time at the Grandest Stage of Them All, he certainly delivered an awe-inspiring performance, and the match lasted 25 minutes.
