10 Special WrestleMania Attires You Totally Forgot About

Writer Michael Hansen

Throughout WrestleMania history, there have been some amazing special attires that people have worn to stand out. Whether it be Seth Rollins channeling his inner Game Of Thrones or Shawn Michaels being the light to The Undertaker's darkness. These are iconic attires that fans have never forgotten.

However, because there have been so many WrestleMania's and with everybody now pushing special attire, some of them have simply been lost in the shuffle. Whether it's because they just weren't that good, or that they've topped it with much better ideas since that point, here are 10 special attires you've likely forgotten about.

10 Edge (WrestleMania 22)

Edge WrestleMania 22

Typically, Edge would wear tight ring gear, which created the iconic look everyone knows and loves. However, at WrestleMania 22, he changed things up with special ring attire to suit the match he was having with Mick Foley.

The gear suited the situation and helped to make it work. However, when people think back to this match, they think of the brutality and epic flaming table spot, not Edge's change of gear.

9 Vickie Guerrero (WrestleMania 26)

Most wrestling fans likely forget that Vickie Guerrero even competed at WrestleMania in the first place, let alone had special attire. But her WrestleMania 26 appearance brought with it a special bit of gear that she had created specifically for the show.

However, the gear just didn't look great, and because this match is forgotten by most fans, the attire isn't one that people typically remember fondly.

8 The IIconics (WrestleMania 35)

The IIconics - Maleficent

The IIconics won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 35 in what was an amazing moment for them both. However, when people think about that, they typically go to them winning and not their entrance.

Because they didn't go on to have an epic run with the titles, people forget that they came out channeling Disney villain Maleficent at this WrestleMania. It was cool ring gear, but because the show was so stacked, details like this did get forgotten.

7 Becky Lynch (WrestleMania 33)

Sometimes, wrestlers go over-the-top with fancy outfits. But other times, it can be a new hairstyle that provides a change. That was the case for Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 33, where she decided to go for dreadlocks and face paint.

Unfortunately, this wasn't a classic look for her and because she was in a multi-woman match, it didn't end up being a breakout moment for her in terms of an outfit.

6 Rhea Ripley (WrestleMania 36)

WrestleMania 36 might have been one of the more recent WrestleManias, but that doesn't mean it was a memorable one. With no fans in attendance, the big entrances and special ring gear ended up being quite forgettable.

Sadly, that includes Rhea Ripley's fantastic ring gear, which was Dragon Ball Z inspired and it looked brilliant. However, because of the event that it took place on, it didn't end up being an iconic one.

5 Trish Stratus (WrestleMania 18)

At WrestleMania X8, Trish Stratus took the time to showcase her pride in her Canadian background. It's something that looked great on the day, with the red and white color scheme and the maple leaf to represent Canada.

However, while it was a great look for her on the day, it's not one of the classic WrestleMania attires that people still talk about nowadays.

4 Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins (WrestleMania 35)

Because their Raw Tag Team Championship match took place on the pre-show, a lot of people missed the excellent ring gear that Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins brought to the show, which is a shame.

Zack Ryder channeled his inner Christian, wearing gear inspired by what he wore at WrestleMania XX. Meanwhile, Hawkins' gear paid tribute to the New York Jets, which also looked fantastic.

3 Rey Mysterio (WrestleMania 26)

Mysterio v Punk

Rey Mysterio is someone who can often be relied upon to wear a special outfit when it comes to WrestleMania. He's pulled out some amazing attires over the years, but his WrestleMania 26 gear was a miss and one that fans have typically forgotten about.

Mysterio decided to dress as a character from the hit movie Avatar, complete with the massive ponytail which he wore during the entrance. It didn't look great, and because he's done much better, this one has been forgotten by fans.

2 John Cena (WrestleMania 22)

John Cena WrestleMania 22 entrance

No matter what John Cena tries to do, people only think about one thing when it comes to him, and that his jean shorts. So his WrestleMania 22 entrance when he decided to come out as a gangster is one that most have forgotten about.

Instead, people just remember this moment for CM Punk being one of the gangsters hanging on the car. It was an idea that likely seemed great on paper, but in execution, it wasn't that cool.

1 Goldust (WrestleMania XIV)

When people think about Goldust, they go to his iconic gold and silver colors, the facepaint, and everything else that went with that gimmick. However, during his time as The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust, he began spicing things up a little.

However, most fans have likely forgotten about this special WrestleMania attire, which he wore for the mixed-tag team bout as he teamed with Luna against Marc Mero and Sable, mainly because it is terrible.
