- The years do not pass in vain, that is a law of life and wrestlers are not exempt from it. As the years go by, obviously a wrestler is losing his agility, his speed and even his strength, so, in general, his skills deteriorate. Not to mention that their body doesn't respond in the same way and there comes a point where it's no longer safe for them to enter a wrestling ring.
In baseball, football, or basketball, it's not very common to see players 40 years old or older, but in wrestling it's different. A superstar can sometimes wrestle until 45 or 50 years old. For example, Edge is 50 and is still able to deliver amazing matches and Bobby Lashley is 48 and is perhaps in the prime of his career.

The years do not pass in vain, that is a law of life and wrestlers are not exempt from it. As the years go by, obviously a wrestler is losing his agility, his speed and even his strength, so, in general, his skills deteriorate. Not to mention that their body doesn't respond in the same way and there comes a point where it's no longer safe for them to enter a wrestling ring.
Despite this, there are some wrestlers who seemingly want to wrestle forever, as they are in their 60s or even 70s and are still wrestling. These wrestlers are truly passionate and don't mind putting their lives on the line to continue doing what they love.
