AEW is known for having a fun live experience with their weekly television shows and PPVs. The start of AEW saw them trying to beat WWE in the live event experience wrestling fans craved a must-watch product and received it. AEW has now been around for almost four years with plans for a limitless future.

Even though the things we see on screen are the most important, the live fans have received some special exclusive moments. Tony Khan likes to have some extended moments to the main event or a feel good dark segment to end the night. The following moments are worth learning about for being cool things AEW did after the cameras stopped rolling.
10 Hookhausen Gets Revenge For Long Island Vs CM Punk
One of the most fascinating crowd atmospheres for AEW came in Long Island for a Dynamite with the roles reversed. MJF played to his hometown crowd and was treated as a hero, while CM Punk acted like a heel to the crowd.
AEW ended that night with a funny segment of Punk and MJF having another confrontation. This one led to MJF declaring another Long Islander would make him pay. Hook came to the ring with Danhausen and put his submission on Punk to a huge ovation. Punk made it even funnier by laying in the ring and selling the move until the fans all left the venue.
9 Kris Statlander Making Surprise Return With Best Friends
A recent instance of AEW using the post-show dark segment for fun featured an injured talent resurfacing. Kris Statlander has been out of action for months rehabbing from an injury, but AEW decided to use her in a non-televised segment.

The Dynamite from Toronto in October ended with Orange Cassidy defeating Pac for the All-Atlantic Championship. Statlander surprisingly appeared with the Best Friends to celebrate Orange’s huge win by having the classic group hug.
8 Kenny Omega's First Trash Talk To Will Ospreay's Face
AEW started the build for the Kenny Omega vs Will Ospreay feud in New Japan after a lot of social media trash talk. Ospreay appeared with the United Empire in the trios tournament and advanced past the first round after defeating Death Triangle.
That episode of Dynamite ended with The Elite coming out to stare down United Empire from the stage. A post-match promo exchange saw Kenny Omega taking some vicious shows at Ospreay not being able to fill his shoes in NJPW. Ospreay fired back with his own promo to start their huge rivalry across two promotions.
7 The United Empire Attacking The Elite
The follow-up of the United Empire vs Elite drama led to their outstanding match against each other on Dynamite. Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks scored the victory over the United Empire to advance in the tournament.
However, a post-match attack from United Empire allowed Will Ospreay to look strong and hold something over Omega in defeat. AEW aired this footage on their YouTube channel, along with some other moments that would receive attention on social media.
6 Bryan Danielson's Debut Promo
All Out 2021 is often named as the greatest AEW PPV and one of the best in wrestling history. The show was main evented by Kenny Omega vs Christian, but it is remembered for the incredible double debut of Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson.
AEW had Danielson side with the babyfaces in the ring to fight off Cole and The Elite. The broadcast ended with a massive crowd ovation and Danielson standing tall. Fans filmed footage of Danielson expressing excitement with a short promo during what many consider AEW’s peak moment.
5 Respect Shown For Thunder Rosa & Britt Baker's Classic
Many fans name Thunder Rosa vs Britt Baker in their Lights Out match as the best main event in Dynamite history. The women both had breakout performances during the bloody brawl that culminated with Thunder scoring a huge win.
AEW uploaded a video of the post-show footage with Tony Khan, Kenny Omega and a few other backstage personnel coming to the ringside area to show respect. Khan thanked both Baker and Rosa for their hard work, and more love was shown afterwards via backstage footage.
4 Darby Allin Show Loves To AEW's Youngest Signing
AEW made some headlines signing teenager Nick Wayne to a contract as the youngest wrestler to ever receive that honor. Young was discovered in the Seattle area and was used for a dark segment after fellow hometown hero Darby Allin won the TNT Championship from Samoa Joe on Dynamite.

The post-show celebration promo for Darby saw him bringing in Wayne from the crowd into the ring. Allin put over Wayne as the future of AEW with Sting endorsing him in the background. Wayne has already had a cool moment in an AEW ring a few years before he eventually debuts.
3 Orange Cassidy Fan Defeating Cody Rhodes
AEW used to set up big post-show segments at the end of every Dynamite for the live audience to go home happy. Orange Cassidy was instantly a fan favorite that had many fans in the audience cosplaying as him with the jacket and sunglasses.
A young fan sitting in the front row was called into the ring by The Elite. Cody Rhodes faced the fan in a match by letting the kid pin him. This remains the most popular video on AEW’s official YouTube channel with well over 43 million views.
2 ECW Celebration In Philadelphia
Tony Khan has been upfront about his fandom of ECW growing up and their influence on him as a wrestling fan. AEW having a few talents that used to work for ECW made it cool for Khan to have a mini celebration for them after Dynamite in Philadelphia.
Taz, Chris Jericho, Jerry Lynn and Dean Malenko were all in the ring with Khan expressing praise for their contributions in ECW. Each person spoke a little with the audience showing them respect with chants and ECW being celebrated in a genuine way.
1 CM Punk Title Celebration With FTR
Double or Nothing 2022 featured the huge main event of CM Punk defeating Adam Page for the AEW World Championship. Punk viewed this as a new career-defining moment since it meant a lot to him to prove he could thrive outside of WWE.
The post-show celebration saw Punk’s friends FTR coming to the ring and raising him in the air. Punk cut a promo expressing his support for the audience believing in him during his comeback. FTR and Punk showed love to each other with the tag team being a huge part of his celebration.
