WWE Reportedly Close To Signing Japanese Star Jiro Kuroshio

Former Wrestle-1 star Jiro Kuroshio could be joining compatriots Asuka and Shinsuke Nakamura at WWE.
That is according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Sescoops.com), who are reporting that the Japanese wrestler could soon sign a contract with the aforementioned company.
The publication claims that the 27-year-old could start a WWE career off in NXT amid rumors of him moving to the US to become part of Vince McMahon's promotion. Kuroshio took part in WWE trials when they were held in Shanghai, China in July and NXT's official Twitter account posted a short clip of him during the tryouts.

The video also showed WWE Performance Center Head Coach Matt bloom praising the former Wrestle-1 man after seeing what he brought to the ring.
The Japanese star began his wrestling career back in 2010 and has wrestled for several promotions in his country since then. He's likely best known for his work with Wrestle-1, having debuted for the company in 2014 and winning multiple championships whilst there.
Jiro announced that he was leaving the promotion during an interview in March, also disclosing that he would be moving to the US. There's enough here to deduce that a move to NXT is next for Jiro but, as with anything else, we will wait for confirmation.
"The strong belief within the industry is that Jiro Kuroshio, who is one of the better Japanese wrestlers around, will be coming into NXT shortly," Dave Meltzer claims. "As noted here before, Kuroshio publicly said he would be moving to the U.S. and leaving Japan, and he was part of a recent WWE tryout camp in Shanghai."
Will Jiro Be A Big Hit At NXT?
Jiro has received plaudits for his in-ring ability but he is also popular because of his charisma, showmanship and eccentric dress choices.
Of course, the language barrier could prove a hindrance but the Japan national does not seem the type to let that stand in his way and could prove to be a major sell, especially now that NXT is on TV.
