WWE Elimination Chamber 2022 Guide: Match Card, Predictions
Daniel Cobb
We are officially on the road to WrestleMania, and as has become the norm in recent years, that road will run through the Elimination Chamber. That road is a little longer than usual this year, though. Not in terms of how long it will take to traverse, but how far the Superstars will have to travel. WWE is packing up the unforgiving structure and taking it to Saudi Arabia, marking the first time ever the Chamber match will take place outside of the US.

As for how and when you can watch this year's Elimination Chamber, WWE will be sticking with Saturday for its next premium live event. Elimination Chamber goes down on Saturday, February 19, 2022. There is going to be a significant difference when it comes to its start time, though. Since the show will be taking place on the other side of the world, Elimination Chamber will begin at 12 pm EST, or 11 am if you want to catch the kickoff show. It will still be available on Peacock in the US, or the regular old WWE Network for those of you elsewhere. All of the matches announced for the show so far, as well as our predictions for what will happen in each, can be found below.
Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE Championship
Just 48 hours after Bobby Lashley won back the WWE Championship, it was revealed The All Mighty will have to defend the title against five other Superstars inside the Elimination Chamber. Even worse, one of those Superstars will be Brock Lesnar. MVP told Lesnar he would have to get to the back of the line if he wants another shot at Lashley's title, at which point Adam Pearce revealed The Beast Incarnate will be in the Chamber match anyway.
This match is stacked with talent, and while it would be nice to see AJ Styles win, or Seth Rollins make reparations for missing out on the Universal Title at Royal Rumble, this one has Lesnar win written all over it. The Beast has already made it clear he will be challenging Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, and suggested it be title versus title back in January. If you don't want that to happen, get on board with it now, because it's inevitable.
Roman Reigns vs. Goldberg for the Universal Championship
Just when Roman Reigns once again thinks he has beaten there everyone there is to beat, someone else emerges from the shadows. This time it's Goldberg, a man he was supposed to face almost two years ago. Reigns versus Goldberg was slated for the main event of WrestleMania 36 before The Tribal Chief took an extended period away from WWE during the pandemic. 18 months Reigns made his return, Goldberg wants his match.
It's hard to predict what we're going to get from this one other than a whole load of spears. The winner will likely be decided by who can spear the other the hardest, or who can take the most spears and still kick out. Since Goldberg has revealed he only has one match left on his contract, it's hard to imagine he wins this one. Unless WWE gives him the title to force his hand into another match, of course.
Becky Lynch vs. Lita for the Raw Women's Championship
Lesnar kicked off the Raw after the Royal Rumble by immediately declaring his WrestleMania intentions. Ronda Rousey still isn't too sure having a lot of history with both Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. She did send a warning shot to Lynch before leaving the ring, however, at which point Lita took her place and threw down the gauntlet for Elimination Chamber. Big Time Becks accepted the challenge, and now Lita has the chance to become a WWE Women's Champion for the first time since 2006.
As for the odds of that actually happening, well, it seems unlikely. It's cool Lita is back for what appears to be a slightly longer run this time, but she probably isn't going to be the one who finally beats Lynch for the title. That will be reserved for whoever faces The Man at WrestleMania. There's an outside chance Lita wins only for Lynch to get it back at WrestleMania, but probably not.
Elimination Chamber Match For A Shot At The Raw Women's Championship
Whoever wins the title match between Lynch and Lita will have the winner of this match waiting for them at WrestleMania. Since Ronda Rousey has decided she wants to challenge for the SmackDown Women's Championship on The Grandest Stage Of Them All, a contender for the Raw title needs to be decided. Six women will enter the Chamber for the chance to be that contender.
The winner of this one has a real chance to step up and solidify themselves as one of WWE's elite female stars. While it would be cool to finally see Liv Morgan have her moment by winning this and beating Lynch at WrestleMania, it probably won't be her. Bianca Belair to win this one as she also needs that victory over Big Time Becks.
Ronda Rousey And Naomi vs. Charlotte Flair And Sonya Deville
What will likely be one of this year's WrestleMania main events is set. Ronda Rousey versus Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women's Championship. However, the champion and her challenger will have the chance to clash more than a month early at Elimination Chamber. Rousey will tag with Naomi who will be equally eager to get her hands on Flair's partner, Sonya Deville.
Other than the Royal Rumble, this will be Rousey's first match back. Expect a lot of judo throws and attempted armbars, but probably not much else. The bulk of the action will be left to the other three with The Rowdy One picking up the win, probably via an armbar on Deville.
The Usos vs. The Viking Raiders for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships
As Reigns continues to build on his record-breaking Universal Title reign, his loyal cousins The Usos have been breaking records of their own. Jimmy and Jey are now the longest-reigning SmackDown Tag Team Champions in WWE history. They may have picked a fight with the wrong guys this time though as at Elimination Chamber, The Viking Raiders will be looking to end that record-breaking run.
Sooner or later, Reigns' Roman Empire will crumble. It makes sense that The Usos would be the first to show signs of weakness, and this might be where it starts to happen. The twins lose their titles, and as Reigns dresses them down for doing so afterward, they ask where he was when they're always helping him to stay champ. Raiders to win this one.
Drew McIntyre vs. Madcap Moss
Some fans thought Drew McIntyre would be the next Superstar to challenge and perhaps even beat Reigns as we turned the corner into 2022. Instead, The Scottish Psychopath found himself opposite Madcap Moss at Day 1 before being sidelined with an injury. Fast forward to the Royal Rumble and McIntyre then found himself in the final two against Brock Lesnar, another promising sign that big things fly ahead.
Well, apparently not, at least not yet. For some reason, WWE is using another McIntyre premium live event match to showcase Moss. Why exactly these matches can't just happen on SmackDown remains unclear. An easy win for McIntyre here. Claymore, pin, and onto the next, hopefully much bigger, one.
Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz
The Miz seems to be annoying one pair of legends after another recently. Him and Maryse being taught a lesson by Edge and Beth Phoenix at Royal Rumble wasn't enough. Now the A-Lister has picked a fight with the Mysterios, and at Elimination Chamber he will have to face Rey.
As much as fans might want him to, Miz can't lose every match. This is the perfect opportunity for the former WWE Champion to pick up a win. Have Rey and Dominik fall out over it somehow and further the split and potential match between the two, if that really is on the cards.
