Hello everyone, this is my first post on Bulbapedia and a response to the Writers Workshop challenge which you can read here.
What i have written below is a true story, and one of the most difficult times i had to go through in terms of gaming (i been through worse outside of gaming) and it broke me on so many levels and not only affected Pokemon games but i felt it affect me on many other things i played during that period and remembering this part of my life always makes me slightly sad.

It was summer 2016 mid-day, my new 3ds xl in black color had just arrived, it was time to say goodbye to my blue 3ds xl, too much Super Smash had ripped the circle pad off as many on the internet claimed was the case with Super Smash on the 3ds, i plugged it in to let it charge, and after a short while i turned it on, not much of a difference from my 3ds xl, but the c stick was a welcome addition to my Monster Hunter games, i set up to transfer data from my 3ds xl to my new 3ds xl while still pondering the naming of the console itself, as the transfer went along without any issues i kept an eye out on the two consoles to make sure nothing weird was going on, when the transfer process was done both 3ds consoles ended the process at the same time and the data was transferred to my new 3ds xl, i checked if my screenshots and games where there, everything was working just fine and as i booted up my copy of Pokemon X as the last thing i wanted to check and the menu appeared i felt as if the air around me had turned cold, my new 3ds xl could not launch my save of Pokemon X, i spent hours that day and the day after barely sleeping and waking up early and staying up late digging around the internet for a possible fix, but nothing, i weren't able to find anything, as a last effort i took the sd card out of both 3ds and checked them, and behold, my Pokemon X save data was there, or maybe just some of it? i had slept very little for 3 days, i was tired and sad, and the only words in my head, where "how did this happen? did i miss a message at some point during the transfer? did the connection to the internet dip for a split second while under the transfer process?" questions i could not answer, i had lost over a box full of shines, almost all starters from every Pokemon generation, countless legendaries and mythicals, and countless common and uncommon Pokemon, too many to remember and many of them from trades and Nintendo events, i was crushed, so many good trades gone, so much progress gone, and it wasn't even my fault, i didn't want to be here, in this hell, for something that was out of my control, i would have swallowed my anger, disappointment, sadness and confusion had it just been my fault, but it wasn't, i went to gamefaq asking for help to at least get a team of Pokemon i could quickly run through the game with again, but no luck, no one was willing to sympathise even after explaining my story and showing proof, i was even told to f-off and that i was simply begging, and in reality yes i was begging, begging for someone to have mercy on everything i had lost and provide a helping hand for me to at least salvage what was left of the legendary/mythical event and perhaps get something out of all of it, but i had no luck, people turned away from me, and in turn i turned away from the Pokemon communities and games, it was years before they started advertising a new Pokemon game called Sun and Moon, i smirked at the tv ad not knowing there was even a Pokemon game on the way, as the weeks went by these Sun and Moon games where starting to pop up on Ign, Gamespot, Gamesradar and so on, imposible to avoid at some points it peaked my interest a little and i started reading about these two Pokemon games that had yet to be released, and that's how i came through the worst experience in gaming i had ever gone though, and today as of writing this, i have for the first time since 2016 booted up my copy of Pokemon X in an attempt to finish this game one more time, hopefully people out there are willing to give me a helping hand in terms of items and Pokemon, everything is appreciated

(Though i may have played, finished and caught plenty of Pokemon in my copies of Pokemon Moon and Pokemon Ultra Sun, i am sadly still not where i was before losing my Pokemon X save in terms of Pokemon both common and rare caught and collected)
