Daniel Cobb
When there are invalid fields, File-AID/Data Solutions displays the Invalid Field Log Record screen, as shown in the following figure. Data Solutions issues an Invalid Field log record whenever it encounters:
- A data field with invalid content,
- A date field that does not match the date pattern selected,
- Or the Date Pattern Exit converted the date field to an invalid date.
The Invalid Field log record message includes the following information:
Record
Record number.
Position
Start position of data in the record.
Date
Date returned to Data Solutions from the Date Pattern Exit.
Pattern
Date pattern selected.
Data
Actual data in the record at the specified position. When this data is non-printable, it is presented in hex format. You may need to scroll right to view the data.
