Triple H Gets Another Promotion Behind The Scenes In WWE

Triple H (Paul Levesque) keeps getting more and more responsibility behind the scenes in WWE. Likely based on the job he's been doing as Head of Creative since Vince McMahon retired, the man in charge creatively is also being tasked with the role of Chief Content Officer.
WWE.com made the official statement on their website Tuesday, noting the following: "WWE today announced that Paul “Triple H” Levesque has been elevated to Chief Content Officer. Additionally, the company has promoted Frank A. Riddick III to President & Chief Financial Officer."
As for what roles the Chief Content Officer now includes, Triple H will be overseeing the Creative Writing, Talent Relations, Live Events, Talent Development, and Creative Services departments. He will report to WWE co-CEO Nick Khan, but he's essentially in charge of everything the fans see and hear on WWE programming and its other content services. The statement also reveals that since taking over creative for WWE, there's been a 15% spike in Monday Night Raw viewership and double-digit increases in social media engagement under his run. In other words, things are going well and he's being promoted as a result.
Levesque said of the promotion, "WWE is one of the most prolific producers of premium content in the world and I look forward to this amazing opportunity." He added, "Having spent my entire career in this business, I’m confident that we have the right pieces in place to continue to grow our audience and deliver for our fans around the world."

WWE Likes What Triple H Has Been Doing
If there was ever any doubt that WWE wasn't fully behind all the changes Triple H has made since taking over creative, this announcement should put that concern to rest. Not only is the company backing his decisions, but they are also promoting him based on the early returns. That means more returns, surprises and pushes for wrestlers that Vince might not have deemed bankable are likely coming.
