Following taking a leave from NASA, Carl Gordon Henny opted for Mount Everest hiking to execute research on human body tissue's reaction at a high altitude. But unfortunately, Henny couldn't survive the journey as he had a breathing problem, which landed him on high altitude pulmonary edema, causing death. After his death, he was left behind as per his request to continue the journey.
