Tenille Dashwood Confirms She's Done With Impact, Fueling WWE Return Talk

Writer Liam Parker

Tenille Dashwood was removed from Impact Wrestling's roster page last week sparking rumors that her time with the promotion had come to an end. Dashwood has now confirmed that, posting a screenshot of the definition for free agent on Twitter over the weekend. Thus begins speculation on where exactly the Aussie might wrestle next.

Tenille Dashwood Is A Free Agent

The most obvious next landing spot for a lot of fans seems to be WWE, and the rate at which Triple H has been bringing released stars back on board would explain why. Karrion Kross, Hit Row, and Dakota Kai have all been brought back into the WWE fold since The Game became head of creative. Dashwood has some strong NXT connections, competing in the match to crown the brand's first-ever Women's Champion.

If you're struggling to place Dashwood's name in the context of the WWE Universe, that's because she wrestled as Emma when under contract with the company. Other than the brief period she was renamed Emmalina only to have her name immediately changed back to Emma. She was never given much of a chance to show exactly how good she is on the main roster, and Triple H might want to rectify that.

WWE or AEW?

Dashwood also has a strong connection to one of the newest additions to AEW. Madison Rayne recently became All Elite, joining the company as both a coach and an in-ring talent. Dashwood and Rayne were the Knockouts Tag Champions in Impact as The Influence up until very recently. The Influence lost the titles to Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary at Slammiversary two months ago.

Harking back to Dashwood potentially re-signing with WWE, the former Knockout is currently dating SmackDown Superstar, Madcap Moss. Moss has already replied to Dashwood's free agent tweet with a series of wide-eye emojis. Since Dashwood's contract appears to have expired and she wasn't released, that likely means she can perform for a new promotion whenever she likes.
