Sgt Slaughter Tells All About Hulk Hogan Wanting To Break Ultimate Warrior's Leg

Sgt Slaughter has revealed all about the time Ultimate Warrior held Vince McMahon up for money, and Hulk Hogan wanting to break Warrior's leg.
Ultimate Warrior will forever be known as one of the most polarizing wrestlers in WWE history. The Superstar is one of the most popular among a certain age group of WWE fans. However, some of the things he did after his wrestling career came to an end, and details about his career that emerged years later have painted Warrior in a rather unfavorable light.
Warrior Holds Vince Up For More Money
One of the more infamous details was when Warrior held up Vince McMahon for money at SummerSlam 1991. Sgt Slaughter, who was one of Warrior's opponents that night, recently spoke to Inside The Ropes about how that day unfolded for him. Slaughter explained how he learned about what Warrior had done, as well as how Hulk Hogan planned on dealing with the situation.

Slaughter teamed with Colonel Mustafa and General Adnan to take on Warrior and Hogan in a handicap match that night. Prior to the match, McMahon took Slaughter to one side and told him what was happening. "I asked him what he was going to do, and Vince said, ‘I’m going to pay him, but as soon as the match is over, he’s fired, he’s done'," Slaughter revealed. McMahon told him Warrior had demanded an additional half a million dollars, otherwise, he would not be wrestling.
Hogan Wanted To Break Warrior's Leg
The other three wrestlers competing in the match, not including Warrior, would eventually burst in. Hogan was irate and allegedly suggested legitimately breaking Warrior's leg during the match. Slaughter claims the idea was for him and Hogan to fight off into the corner, leaving Mustafa, aka The Iron Sheik, free to break Warrior's leg.
McMahon immediately shot down the idea, stating that he didn't want a lawsuit on top of the $500,000 payout and having to fire Warrior immediately after the match. That part really did happen. Warrior was suspended as soon as he got backstage and would eventually be let go by WWE. He'd return for an unsuccessful run years later and would eventually be inducted into the Hall of Fame just days before his passing.
