[Rumor] Shayna Baszler Leaving NXT, Where Is She Going?

Writer Daniel Davis

A recent report suggests that WWE is thinking about moving Shayna Baszler from NXT. It appears she'll be making her debut on another brand right away.

One of the most dominant Superstars in NXT, it looks like her days of being NXT's headlining female are over. Not just because Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair are getting a lot more of the attention on NXT these days but because WWE has plans to move Baszler off of Wednesday nights and over to Mondays.

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Baszler is set to be "called up" to the main roster soon to be a part of WWE's flagship show - Monday Night RAW. Further to that report, PWInsider reports that Baszler is scheduled to be at Monday's RAW from the Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA. There was no word on if she's in the plans for the TV show but the speculation is that she'll be the one to challenge Becky Lynch for the RAW Women's Championship at WrestleMania 36.

Baszler was last given a spotlight at the Royal Rumble where she made it to the end of the match-up, only to get booted from the Rumble by Charlotte Flair. But, with Flair potentially meeting up with Ripley at WM 36 and Lynch's expected Flair battle now off the table, Baszler would slot in nicely.

A Promotion For The Queen of Spades?

Some will question WWE's decision to move Baszler off of NXT and onto a show where she's not as prominent a player. But, there's also an argument that as the NXT Year End Award in 2019 for Female Performer of the Year, she won't get lost in the shuffle.

What do you think? Is this actually a promotion for Baszler or is NXT where she should stay? And, if she goes up against Lynch, who do you give the win to?
