The masked luchador broke out for WCW's cruiserweight division in the 90s after coming over from the Mexican wrestling scene. 10 WWE: Rey Mysterio vs Kurt Angle vs Randy Orton (WrestleMania 22)
The biggest victory of Rey Mysterio’s career came at WrestleMania 22 when defeating Kurt Angle and Rey Mysterio to win the World Championship. All three wrestlers put on an outstanding performance despite only getting ten minutes.

Mysterio finally reached the top of the mountain winning a World Championship in WWE. The victory was dedicated to Rey’s deceased friend Eddie Guerrero. Mysterio received his special moment on the biggest stage.
9 WCW: Rey Mysterio vs Billy Kidman vs Juventud Guerrera (Starrcade 1998)
Rey Mysterio was the face of the cruiserweight division for most of his run. The smaller size of Mysterio was used to his advantage when competing against wrestlers also under 210 pounds.
A standout match for Mysterio came in the opener of Starrcade 1998. Billy Kidman defeated Juventud Guerrero and Mysterio in an instant classic that showed the greatness of the cruiserweights. Kidman also defended the title against Eddie Guerrero after the triple threat.
8 WWE: Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero (Summerslam 2006)
The WWE feud between Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio saw it becoming a family affair. A backstory for the angle revealed Guerrero was the birth father of Rey’s son Dominic forcing him to become part of the storyline.
Mysterio and Guerrero faced off in an outstanding ladder match at Summerslam 2006. Not even the wild stipulation of Dominic’s custody on the line could hold back these two legends from having a classic match.
7 WCW: Rey Mysterio vs Ultimo Dragon (World War 3 1996)
Ultimo Dragon and Rey Mysterio were the two most successful masked wrestlers in WCW for the cruiserweight division. Both wrestlers delivered exceptional performances at World War 3 1996 for their best match together.
The show opener saw Dragon winning a back and forth match to retain his J Cup Championship. Dragon had an all-around skill set that led him to titles in various promotions. Mysterio had arguably Dragon’s best match in WCW here.
6 WWE: Rey Mysterio and Edge vs Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit (No Mercy 2002)
Rey Mysterio had a strong role in one of the all-time great WWE tag matches. The duo of Mysterio and Edge faced off against Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit in the finals of a tournament to crown Tag Team Champions for Smackdown.

Both wrestlers had something to prove after having backstage issues with Eric Bischoff regarding the booking. Mysterio and Guerrero channeled their frustration into beautiful art. The win for Rey protected his mask and won him the Cruiserweight Championship in a must-see match.
