Paget Brewster Reveals Why She Chooses Many Different Types Of Roles

Writer Emma Terry

Paget Brewster told us she has loved acting in comedies as well as in dramas and more tense projects like "Criminal Minds." She hasn't so much sought out diverse roles as she has chosen projects carefully. She primarily chooses her next project based on the script. When she's reading scripts, Brewster said she's asking, "What is written well? What is interesting? Who is in it, or who's involved that I like? It ends up being that they're all coming from different places."

Looking at her recent projects like "Birdgirl" and "Hypochondriac," Brewster agreed that they are quite different from each other, but what they have in common is that she likes the story. "An LGBTQ psychological horror film ['Hypochondriac'], 'Birdgirl,' "American Dad," "Criminal Minds" ... They're very disparate, but it's just, what is good? What do I want to do? What is exciting? I'm very fortunate to be in that position," she said.
