Montez Ford Says He Broke His Back After Freakish Botch On Raw
Daniel Davis
Montez Ford was the victim of an awful bump on the Raw episode that aired on Monday night.
The Raw Tag Team champion was part of a six-man tag match pitting Street Profits and Kevin Owens against Angel Garza, Austin Theory and Seth Rollins.

Ford took to Twitter to post a clip of former boxer Mike Tyson saying he broke his back after crashing and burning when he attempted to dive into Austin off of the top rope. The uncoordinated incident saw Ford slam into the floor with a loud crash. It must have hurt like hell.
WWE fans absolutely lost it on Twitter and Ford would attempt to make light of the situation while also causing concern. The ambiguity was strong in this one.
Hopefully, the Street Profits star was just exaggerating, but the impact seemed great enough to break something.
We'll have to go with exaggerating for now because Austin also took to Twitter to joke about the botch, saying he wouldn't have allowed Ford to land on him after he screamed "WrestleMania" twice.
Dodged A Bullet?
So we hope Ford's okay, but the bump prompted lots of laughs around the WWE Universe, with the two persons involved getting in on the act too.
One fan joked Austin only catches dives in theory, while Hurricane Helms chimed in with a social distancing quip.
This probably won't earn Austin a gold star after getting picked from NXT. The 22-year-old is understood to be the one who replaced Andrade for WrestleMania 36's Raw Tag Team Title match and is tipped for stardom. But his missed catch will probably set him back a few points, especially if Montez is hurt.
