Miro Has Returned To AEW, What Happens Next?

Writer Owen Barnes

Pray to the wrestling gods, because after a long absence from AEW, Miro has finally made his triumphant return to television, and did so in dominate fashion by destroying Johnny Elite in singles competition. The fans in attendance erupted when Miro's music played, and he marched out to the stage, signifying his status as one of the most popular wrestlers on the AEW roster, and rightfully so.

Miro-AEW

He is superb in the ring, has developed considerably on the mic, possesses that "it" factor in looks, and has a unique character to work with, deemed The Redeemer. After a lengthy undefeated winning streak that lead to a run with the TNT Championship, Miro started to develop a complex where he was God's Favorite Champion. He cut promos where he was talking to God, and this only escalated when he lost the belt to the Spanish God, Sammy Guevara. Soon Miro's religious, zealous behavior reached new heights as he questioned his fate with God and started to question himself and God as to why such a terrible fate could have happened. Sadly a hamstring injury derailed Miro's momentum, forcing him on the sideline for many months, but The Redeemer is back and needs to start a holy crusade to cleanse AEW.

Miro Needs To "Redeem" The AEW Roster

Dark Order AEW

Now that Miro is back to AEW and his injuries have healed, he should go on a holy conquest. In his eyes the AEW roster full of bastards, punks, cowards, and pagans, so, as The Redeemer, he seeks to redeem them, which means demolishing them in the ring in the name of God. This will lead to feuds with other wrestlers and factions that conflict with Miro's ideology. The Spanish God Sammy Guevara is one punk that Miro should cross paths with during his crusade, to prove that, despite the fluke win, Sammy's God is no match for Miro's God.

Another faction that Miro should confront is the Dark Order. As a group of wrestlers who listen to a higher power, Miro should accuse them of paganism and attempt to redeem the members of Dark Order by attacking the credibility of their Higher Power. He needs to systematically defeat each member of the faction, leading to a singles match where the sovereignty of the Dark Order is on the line. Once Miro wins he can choose to either dismiss the Dark Order, thus ending the faction, or choose to redeem the Dark Order as new, devout followers of his God.

As Miro continues to make his way through the AEW roster in his thirst for erasing signs of impurity, this will serve two functions? Miro will gain back favor with his God after his past mistake of losing the TNT Championship, and he will ultimately reach the proverbial the gates of the kingdom of heaven. As the Redeemer, this is his end game, but to reach this holy place Miro will need a worthy trophy to offer to his God, the AEW World Championship.

Miro Needs To Feud With CM Punk When He Returns

CM Punk Wins AEW Championship

With the poor timing of CM Punk's injury, paired with the creation of the intern championship, Miro will have plenty of time to work outside the title picture. However, once Punk returns to unify the belts, Miro needs to turn his attention towards Punk. It will not be an easy task, for Punk will be returning from his injury and will be even more popular with the AEW fans than ever before, but after a series of matches Miro will finally wrestle the belt from Punk, thus fulfilling his own redemption in the process. Once Miro claims the AEW World Championship, he can go on to offer it to his God, resulting in his God becoming "satisfied" and Miro being bestowed a custom designed belt worthy of the Redeemer's success in his holy crusade over the last couple of months. At this point Miro can proclaim AEW as the kingdom of his God, with him as the guardian of the gates. Anyone who dares enter the kingdom to reach God must go through him and claim the AEW World Championship.<
