Mike Rotunda Gives Updates On Wrestling Futures Of Bray Wyatt & Bo Dallas

Writer Michael Hansen

Bray Wyatt (real name Windham Rotunda) and Bo Dallas (Taylor Rotunda) were released from their WWE contracts just a few months apart last year, and neither of them have appeared in another promotion ever since.

Dallas was one of several talents that WWE released in mid-April of last year. That series of cuts also included Mickie James, former NXT Champion Samoa Joe (he was eventually brought back but released again this past January), Kalisto and The IIconics. In a stunner, the company announced the release of Wyatt on July 31.

There are no indicators that Wyatt or Dallas could return to the squared circle soon. But their father, former WWE superstar Mike Rotunda, believes that his two sons will eventually wrestle again.

The elder Rotunda made the comment during a recent appearance on Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw (h/t WrestlingNews.co).

"They’re definitely not maybe done," Rotunda explained. "I don’t know, they’re kind of got their foot in and going with a couple different things, trying to see what’s available. So, you know, maybe you’ll see them back. Maybe you won’t, I don’t know yet, but I don’t want to speak for them either because I know they’re trying to reach out and get some different things going."

On Tuesday, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter told a fan on Twitter that Wyatt's "asking price is very high". His 90-day non-compete clause expired in late October, and many wrestling fans naturally assumed that he would quickly land with the rival AEW promotion. AEW President and CEO Tony Khan previously expressed interest in working with Wyatt, but it remains to be seen if the two sides will manage to a deal.

Curiously, both Wyatt and Dallas were rarely seen on WWE programming in the months leading up to their departures. Dallas' tag team partner, Curtis Axel, was released from WWE in Apr. 2020. Late last year, the 34-year-old Wyatt started working on a film with close friend Jason Baker,.

"Timing Is Everything" For Bray Wyatt

During a recent Q&A session on his Instagram page before WrestleMania weekend, Wyatt responded to a fan and said he will "always love wrestling." The former WWE and Universal Champion emphasized that "Timing is everything". So it definitely seems like Wyatt would like to eventually wrestle again, but he wants it to be right.
