The Flatiron District and Chelsea are home to many luxurious condos with high-end amenities, but a new wave of opulent single-family townhouses is taking hold. A six-story, seven-bedroom townhouse at 253 West 18th Street is listed for $14.995 million. A few blocks away, a six-story townhouse with a roof terrace at 34 West 21st Street has just topped out.

Designs by architect Karl Fischer and interior designer Andres Escobar, as announced in 2014, call for eight bedrooms, four baths, an outdoor hot tub, a basement spa area with hot tub, sauna, and steam room, a private garage, and a private garden. Developer Hesky Haim took over the project from Skyway Development Group in October 2016, but plans for the site did not change with the new developer.
