LA Knight Wants To Be The Kobe Bryant To Rock And Austin's Michael Jordan

It's almost time for Money in the Bank which might mean the biggest night of LA Knight's career is nearly upon us. WWE fans are eager to see Knight ascend the ladder and grab the briefcase in the men's ladder match this Saturday, but it remains unclear whether the people responsible for deciding that sort of thing agree with what the WWE Universe is angling for.
LA Knight's High Aspirations
As for what Knight thinks, I'd assume he very much believes he should be the one to become Mr. Money in the Bank this weekend. In fact, despite getting to WWE and really hitting his stride later than most in his career, Knight believes he can be on the same level as The Rock and Stone Cold. Well, not necessarily the same level, but rather an equal but different one.

There's no question Knight's character has been inspired by The Rock and Austin. When asked about those comparisons on Cheap Heat, Knight explained his desire to be on their level, but not be viewed as a rip-off of the wrestling icons. “Are there similarities? Sure there are. There is Kobe [Bryant] to [Michael] Jordan, those kinds of comparisons. If you want to make me the Kobe to their Jordan, I’ll take it,” Knight said (H/T to Fightful for the transcription).
Will He Win Money In The Bank?
Right before Knight settled for being the Kobe to Rock and Austin's Jordan, the former Million Dollar Champion admitted he believes he can be bigger than both of them. Quite the vision, but hey, the man's character is built on confidence. If LA Knight didn't believe he's bigger than Rock and Austin, then the LA Knight character would immediately fall apart.
Whether Knight wins the men's Money in the Bank match this weekend will determine if WWE agrees with the vision he has for himself. Knight is unquestionably one of the favorites going into the weekend, but he is far from a sure thing. Damian Priest might also bring home the contract, and there have been rumblings of people backstage pushing for Logan Paul to win the match. Triple H is reportedly not keen on that last one.
