Jamahal Hill Says He Can’t Wait For The Truth To Come Out

Hill Revealed The Domestic Violence Charge Is An Open Case

In the YouTube video, titled "There’s been a lot of reports out about the situation that happened when I was back home in Michigan, visiting for the holidays," Hill acknowledged the reports surrounding the incident. He shared, "I will just say this, at this time, it’s an open case. I’ve been advised not to speak on it, which I know not to speak on it."

Expressing a desire for the truth to emerge during the legal proceedings, Hill stated, "I just can’t wait for the truth to be told in court, and I will wait for that day and I look forward to that day." He urged those who are familiar with his character to hold onto that knowledge and remain true to their understanding of who he is.

Hill concluded his statement with a brief comment, saying, "The people who know me and know my character and truly, truly rock with me and know who I am, hold on to that and stay true to that, and yeah, that’s all I’m gonna say on that."

The former UFC light heavyweight champion is expected to make his Octagon return in 2024, facing newly-crowned 205-pound champion Alex Pereira. Hill won the vacant UFC light heavyweight title in January 2023 against Glover Teixeira but was forced to vacate the title due to an injury.

Dana White Reacts To Jamahal Hill’s Arrest

The UFC President Isn’t Bothered By Hill’s Legal Situation

UFC President Dana White responded to questions about Jamahal Hill's recent arrest during a press conference for UFC Austin. White expressed his lack of knowledge about the situation, stating, “I know nothing about it. I literally don’t know anything. Obviously, it’s something between him and his brother. That’s some family sh*t and I’m sure they’ll figure that out.”

White's remarks suggest that he is not privy to the details of Hill's legal issues and prefers to keep the matter between Hill and his brother as a private family affair. The UFC President didn't delve into further details about the situation, highlighting the personal nature of the matter.

Jamahal Hill is scheduled to appear in court in January, and the legal proceedings will likely shed more light on the circumstances surrounding his arrest and the allegations of misdemeanor aggravated domestic violence involving his brother.
