As always, the speeches this year were excellent. There was a great range of emotions, from hilarious stories to words that left fans and wrestlers alike wiping away their tears. It led to some tremendous moments with fans always being impressed with what they had to hear, which created a brilliant night overall.

5 Vader

Vader is inducted into the HOF

Posthumous inductions are always difficult to get right, as fans don't get to hear the stories, or get a look behind the curtain, which is what people want. However, Vader's son and wife did a great job within this induction. They kept things short, but sweet, and engaged well with the fans, getting the chanting along, "it's Vader time."

His son did a terrific job, not only in looking back at Vader's career, but also in speaking about him as a father. It was great to hear about that side of Vader's life, especially since he is such a dominant monster inside the ring. Overall, it was a solid speech that reflected on Vader's time in the business perfectly.

4 The Steiner Brothers

The Steiners get inducted into the HOF Cropped

After being introduced by their son and nephew Bron Breakker, the Steiner Brothers were the first to be inducted at the 2022 Hall Of Fame, which was something that was highly anticipated. Nobody ever expected Scott Steiner to be given a live microphone, and that was something he happily joked about. However, he toed the line, and spoke with pride about his career, sharing a funny story about the Macho Man, Randy Savage.

The two gave quite a short speech overall, but they got to the point and were honored to be in that spot. It would have been nice to hear a little more from Rick Steiner, as well as a few other stories about their tag-team rivalries. However, seeing the bond between them, and how Rick spoke about his brother was a great way to finish.

3 Queen Sharmell

Queen Sharmell HOF induction

Queen Sharmell gave a fantastic speech, speaking with class and confident from the start. She didn't let things drag on, but ensured that she hit every note of her career. It was great to hear which wrestlers had impacted her career, from Rey Mysterio to the Nitro Girls. It was brilliant to see the pride that she clearly had in everything she had achieved.

But the speech was truly a special one. Siliana was open about her husband, sharing great stories from his life about heroic acts he did, making it clear what a brilliant person he was. Seeing her speak openly to her son was one of the most emotional moments of the night. It was a speech that people will certainly remember, and was the perfect example of why this award was created.
