Every Holo Pelt Location In Act 3 (& What They're For)

Writer Michael Hansen

Genre-spanning deck-builder Inscryption features familiar faces across its three acts, but the Trader has something new to exchange in Act 3.

The Trader wants Holo Pelts.

Inscryption, Devolver Digital’s horror deck-builder, lets players battle strange bosses and uncover chilling secrets across three genre-spanning acts. The Trader appears in each act, offering the player an exchange for their pelts and foils.

Act 3 of Inscryption allows the player to collect Holo Pelts, though there is a limited amount, unlike the other acts. Holo Pelts can’t be traded for in-game goods in Act 3 as they could in the previous acts, but the Trader will instead offer his knowledge of the game.

There are five Holo Pelts in total, and they’re not hard to find, though most of them are in rooms with hidden arrows. By checking each room with a quick swipe around the perimeter, these hidden rooms become easy to spot. They are also located relatively close to other landmarks, which makes them easier to locate.

Where To Find All Five Holo Pelts In Inscryption

Inscryption's rabbits can be caught for Holo Pelts.
  • Inscryption's easiest Holo Pelt to find is in the shop just south of the Central Botopia waypoint. It costs 22 Robobucks, which the player can gain by doing excess damage to an enemy to end a fight like teeth and foils in acts 1 and 2.
  • There’s another one close to the shop, which players can get to by traveling to the left and then down with a hidden arrow. There will be a rabbit jumping over a bear trap here, which players can catch by activating the trap at the right moment.
  • In the Foul Backwater, there is another Holo Pelt just north of where the Prospector can be found. After some brief dialogue, the player will come across a tree line where they can no longer go north. There is only one arrow to the left here, but a hidden arrow to the right will take them to the next Holo Pelt.
  • South of the Western Botopia waypoint, there is a room where P03 will upgrade the player’s Empty Vessels with gems. From here, the next rabbit can be found by going as far to the right as possible and down into the next room, where there will be a hidden arrow to the right.
  • There is one more Holo Pelt located in Filthy Corpse World. After entering, the Holo Pelt is two rooms to the left. The player must trade cards with P03 and enter the room again to find the last rabbit.

The Trader, on the other hand, isn’t on the game board at all, but has to be unlocked from inside the game. In the room directly to the left of the Golly Uberbot, there is a blue holographic padlock. Clicking this padlock doesn’t seem to do anything, but the Trader can now be found in the factory. The Trader will appear in the room directly to the left of the main room.

Players can exchange their Holo Pelts for the Trader’s knowledge about the OLD DATA in Inscryption. While he doesn’t know everything, he will let players select a tarot card and tell them a corresponding secret. While his knowledge may initially leave players with more questions than answers, these secrets point to something dark hidden deep within the game’s code.
