Destiny 2: How to Get Horror's Least Pulse Rifle
Emma Terry
Play a Nightfall to unlock Horror's Least Pulse Rifle, a Rapid-Fire Arc Energy Pulse Rifle with exclusive use for Destiny 2 PvP in Season of the Lost.
Players must complete a specific Nightfall for the chance to get the Horror's Least Pulse Rifle, a Rapid-Fire Arc Energy Pulse Rifle with exclusive use for PvP in Destiny 2. The Horror's Least Pulse Rifle is one of the more interesting weapons in Destiny 2 because it currently has no viability for PvE. The weapon itself is sunset, capping the Power Level at 1100. However, as a PvP weapon, Horror's Least still has a lot of benefits, and it's particularly useful for Trials of Osiris.
Horror's Least is a Pulse Rifle that was added during the Forsaken expansion, and while many weapons in Destiny 2 have seen reissued drops, this weapon has not been one of them. Oddly enough, Horror's Least drops with a zero Light level and need's an Upgrade Module to get it to the bottom/sunset Power Level cap. While it's unclear for now whether Bungie will unsunset this weapon, Horror's Least's unique perks make it a one-of-a-kind Pulse Rifle.
The only way to get the Horror's Least Pulse Rifle is by playing The Corrupted Nightfall Strike in the Dreaming City. Nightfalls are rotational missions that are only around for a week, and it's currently the Nightfall mission for week four of Season of the Lost. Horror's Least is a random drop for completing the Nightfall, but it is not one of the Nightfall weapons like the Palindrome Hand Cannon.
How to Get Horror's Least Pulse Rifle in Destiny 2
While Horror's Least isn't the only Arc Energy Rapid Fire Pulse Rifle in Destiny 2, it has some perks that are more beneficial in competitive PvP modes than, for example, the Darkest Before Pulse Rifle. Horror's Least can drop with perks like Zen Movement, Headseeker, and most importantly, Kill Clip. Kill Clip is a fantastic perk for PvP because reloading after a kill increases Horror's Least's damage for a short time.
The Destiny community is hopeful Bungie will update Horror's Least soon so it will be viable for PvE once more. Considering that the Season of the Lost Seasonal Artifact Mods include an Unstoppable Champion Mod for Pulse Rifles, it would be nice to be able to take advantage of the mod before the Witch Queen expansion.
For the Horror's Least God Roll, players should aim for a drop that comes with:
- Arrowhead Brake or Polygonal Rifling Barrel (Handling and Recoil increases or Stability increases)
- Extended Magazine or Ricochet Rounds (Large magazine increase or Range increase and ricocheting rounds)
- Zen Movement, Headseeker, or Rangefinder (Increased movement after causing damage, body shots increase precision damage, or range and zoom magnification increases)
- Kill Clip
