Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart has earned the reputation for being one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. His technical skills are out of this world, and he has a lot of respect for the wrestling business. The Hitman has inspired many Canadian wrestlers, and wrestlers around to globe to pick up professional wrestling. Hart finally returned to WWE at the start of January 2010, and he buried the hatchet with Shawn Michaels. The Hitman's final set of matches with WWE ranged from 1997 to 2011. Fans got to witness the very best and worst of Hart, but he did sustain a career-ending injury at the hands of Goldberg in WCW.
10 Bret Hart & John Cena Vs. Ricardo Rodriguez & Alberto Del Rio - Raw (9/12/11)
The September 12, 2011 edition of Raw was held in Canada's capital of Ottawa. It was Hart's final WWE match to date. Nevertheless, the Hitman teamed up with John Cena, and they squared off with the WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio and his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez.
There was barely any quality in this match, and Cena and Del Rio had a WWE Championship match at Night of Champions on the horizon. The Mexican Aristocrat retreated to the locker room, leaving Rodriguez on his lonesome. Nevertheless, the Hitman applied the Sharpshooter on Rodriguez, who tapped out immediately for the win with fans in Canada pleased.
9 Bret Hart & John Cena Vs. Chris Jericho & Edge - Raw (8/9/10)
Bret Hart and John Cena were in tag team action against former World Champions Chris Jericho and Edge. The Nexus was at ringside as lumberjacks. Cena was fed to the lions as both Edge and Jericho threw Cena to the Nexus. Cena did the same thing to Jericho but Y2J got a free pass as they opted not to attack him.
Jericho's downfall was barking orders at Nexus but they took exception to this and they assaulted him. Edge tried to help but it was to no avail. The Hitman didn't get tagged in once, and the match was ruled as a no contest as a brawl ensued. The two teams worked as a cohesive unit, and John Morrison and R-Truth came out to aid their WWE teammates in the battle against the Nexus.
8 Bret Hart Vs. The Miz - Raw (5/17/10)
For the first time in 13 years, Bret Hart was in action on Raw. He challenged The Miz for the United States Championship in a No Disqualification match in Toronto, Canada. Miz attempted to gain the upper hand by bringing Vladimir Kozlov and William Regal to the ring. However, the Hart Dynasty intercepted.
Jericho came to Miz's aid but Natalya protected her uncle by slapping Chris Jericho. This wasn't a good match, and Miz attempted to apply the sharpshooter. Tyson Kidd dropkicked Miz, and the Hart Dynasty executed the Hart Attack on Miz. Bret took advantage, and he kickstarted his fifth United States Championship reign with the sharpshooter.
7 Bret Hart Vs. Mr. McMahon - WrestleMania 26
Bret Hart finally got to give Mr. McMahon his comeuppance in their No Holds Barred match at WrestleMania 26. This was the Hitman's first WrestleMania since his epic with Austin at WrestleMania 13, 13 years prior. Nevertheless, McMahon thought that he had the last laugh as the entire Hart Family walked down the aisle with him.

It was a ruse as the Hart Family betrayed McMahon, and they gave McMahon a beating. Hart was no longer functioning at the peak of his powers but it was too good to see him in the ring. The match was lackluster, and it went on longer than it needed to. Ironically, Hart finished off McMahon with the Sharpshooter, the same move that sparked his departure in the first place.
6 Team WWE Vs. The Nexus - SummerSlam 2010
The Nexus was on a path of destruction in the summer of 2010 but they were in action against some of WWE's top-level talent at SummerSlam. The seven-on-seven elimination match was filled with lots of action and it was bizarre that the Nexus came up short.
Hart was barely involved in the match, and unquestionably he would be better off being the manager for Team WWE. Nevertheless, his involvement was handy as he nailed Skip Sheffield with a steel chair although he got disqualified.
5 Bret Hart Vs. Faarooq - Raw (10/20/97)
Bret Hart and Faarooq, leaders of their respective factions went toe-to-toe on the October 20, 1997, episode of Raw. The Hitman and Faarooq were not on their lonesome with the Hart Foundation in Hart's corner, and the Nation in Faarooq's corner. DX also made their presence felt by watching the drama unfold.
The Hitman was distracted by Shawn Michaels and he was going to assault him but the Nation stood in Hart's way. The action between the Hart Foundation and the Nation spilled onto the outside. Steve Austin got into the act and he executed the Stunner on Faarooq, with Hart pinning him for the victory.
4 Bret Hart Vs. Ken Shamrock - Raw (10/27/97)
On the October 27, 1997 edition of Raw, Ken Shamrock challenged Bret Hart for the WWE Championship. Two masters of submission holds going head-to-head was tons of fun. Shamrock applied submission holds in the early exchanges to wear Hart down. Moreover, the Hitman applied the figure four leglock around the ring post with Shamrock writhing in pain.

The Hitman attempted the sharpshooter, but Shamrock superbly countered it with an ankle lock. Hart submitted but the referee was down. Hart nailed Shamrock in the back with a steel chair. Shawn Michaels intervened and executed the Sweet Chin Music on Hart. However, the World's Most Dangerous Man went berserk and took everyone out.
3 Bret Hart Vs. Triple H - Raw (10/6/97)
Bret Hart and Triple H competed in a non-title match, and Hart took the fight to Triple H in the early stages. Triple H rallied back but Hart regained control. Moreover, Shawn Michaels came down to ringside to take a closer look at proceedings. Hart was distracted by Michaels' presence, but Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart came down the aisle to even up the odds.
Hart cinched in the Sharpshooter but Chyna helped Triple H reach the ropes. This was a high-quality match, and HBK leveled Hart with Sweet Chin Music on the outside with Triple H prevailing by count-out.
2 Bret Hart & The British Bulldog Vs. The Patriot & Vader - Badd Blood: In Your House, 1997
Bret Hart and his brother-in-law The British Bulldog squared off with The Patriot and Vader in a tag team match at Badd Blood: In Your House. The Hitman was the reigning WWE Champion, and this flag match was fantastic.
Hart and Bulldog worked well as a cohesive unit, and they dominated large portions of the match. It was a successful night for the Hart Foundation with Bret rolling up The Patriot for the win with Bulldog restraining Vader.
1 Bret Hart Vs. Shawn Michaels - Survivor Series 1997
Both Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels were heels in their WWE Championship match at Survivor Series 1997. Before the bell sounded, Hart and Michaels brawled around the arena and into the crowd. This marquee WWE Championship match was excellent, and both men were at the top of their games.
The Hitman had the hometown support with the match emanating in Montreal. Despite the controversial finish with the Montreal Screwjob taking place, Hart and Michaels hit a home run. The Heartbreak Kid secured his third WWE Championship reign
