Arn Anderson Describes How Vince McMahon Reacts To Someone Sneezing In His Presence

Writer Owen Barnes

Arn Anderson recently confirmed the rumors about Vince McMahon's overreactions to anyone who dares sneeze or cough in his presence.

Vince McMahon might well be one of the most unique people on the planet. There's no doubt that the man is a genius, especially when it comes to the wrestling business. Ruthless, dedicated, and downright insane are other terms that fans might have heard used to describe the WWE chairman.

Some of the more fascinating stories surrounding McMahon involve his strange habits and his pet peeves. Heading to the gym at 2 am to get a workout in as he never sleeps. Eating nothing but steak and energy bars to get as much protein as possible. However, the funniest and strangest urban myth about the boss is the way he reacts to people sneezing around him.

The thing is, so many different stories about this particular personality trait have been told that it can no longer be considered a myth. The latest person to describe it in detail was Arn Anderson. The former WWE producer was asked about Vince's sneezes during a Q&A on his podcast, ARN. He admitted that when he first saw the boss's reaction to someone sneezing, he thought he was being messed with.

"It was like 'Okay, I'm not in on the joke, they're setting me up.' If you could have seen fire or a dagger coming out of somebody's eyes, it would've come out of Vince's eyes," Anderson revealed. Apparently, the same would happen to people who coughed or even looked under the weather. Anderson thought they should be commended for coming to work even though they could have called in sick, but clearly, McMahon didn't agree.

All of this begs the question, how vigilant must McMahon be right now? Considering the circumstances, a man in his 70s who continues to go to work is more at risk than most. Anyone who sneezes at the PC is probably bagged up and thrown out the back door, told never to return. We jest, of course, but McMahon's history of overreacting to people who look and act unwell is probably one of the reasons why no WWE Superstars have tested positive for COVID-19 thus far.
