Professional Background

Dr. Aleshia Thompson is originally from Jeffersonville, IN, but moved across the bridge to Louisville, KY over 10 years ago. She has family and friends on both sides of the river, so she says she's from the Kentuckiana area. She worked for 5 years in the medical field as an EMT and dialysis technician before beginning her educational journey. She received her Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degrees from Jefferson Community and Technical College and transferred to the University of Louisville where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She chose to stay at the University of Louisville for medical school, as well. 

In her spare time, she loves to dance, go for walks in the park with her family, cook, and read young adult fiction.
