AEW star Jake Atlas was reportedly arrested and subsequently charged with domestic violence following an altercation with his partner in Orlando on May 23.

Per PW Insider, an Orlando Police Department report states that the former NXT Superstar was charged with misdemeanor battery (domestic assault) on a person he has been dating for a number of years. According to the report, the alleged incident occurred when Atlas became jealous that his partner was showing giving more attention to a mutual female friend.

A verbal conflict ensued, and Atlas eventually "became physically aggressive" towards the victim, following the person even after they had attempted to remove themselves from the situation. The arresting officer claims that Atlas was "speaking badly" about his partner while being questioned, which led to the officer determining that Atlas was the aggressor.

At the time of writing, neither Atlas, his victim, nor AEW has commented on the situation, however, Atlas has been removed from the AEW roster page.

Following a successful stint on the indie scene, Jake Atlas signed with WWE in October 2019, although his involvement with the company began when he appeared on Stephanie McMahon's episode of Celebrity Undercover Boss in 2018. In that episode, Atlas promised Stephanie that he would one day become the first-ever openly gay WWE Champion.
