5 Recently Returned WWE Wrestlers Who Vince McMahon Would Fire Again (& 5 He Would Keep)
James Rogers
Although Vince McMahon hasn’t returned to WWE creative, it would still be foolish to rule it out completely. Whilst it hasn’t happened yet, it is still interesting to look at what would happen if McMahon were to make a sensational return, especially when it comes to those who have been recently rehired by Triple H.

There have been a sea of returns since Triple H took over WWE creative, but not everyone would survive the brutal reign of McMahon if he ever made a comeback. There are certain individuals who have done a good enough job recently to warrant McMahon keeping them though for a variety of different reasons.
10 Fire: Mia Yim
Despite having a lot of talent, Mia Yim hasn’t done much of note on WWE’s main roster since her return to WWE. She has settled into the lower card in the women’s division, and doesn’t look to be moving up any time soon.
McMahon would likely see Yim as surplus to requirements instead of trying to find a way to maximize her talent, and with the lack of connection to the audience in recent months, it feels likely that she wouldn’t be in WWE for too long.
9 Keep: Bronson Reed
Before Bronson Reed’s release, many thought that he would have been perfect for Vince McMahon. Since his comeback, Reed’s involvement has been understated but effective, and he has played a big powerhouse very well.
His performance in the Elimination Chamber was striking, and it feels like he is set for big things after WrestleMania season, with perhaps a push towards a midcard title being a possibility. With how impressive he has looked, McMahon would keep him on board, especially since he is doing everything right when it comes to the perfect type of “big guy” wrestler that McMahon loves.
8 Fire: Karrion Kross
It was clear from the off that Vince McMahon wasn’t a fan of Karrion Kross, and it is now seeming like Triple H isn’t too high on him either based on his current booking, which has been very underwhelming to say the least.
Triple H may still try and fix Kross, but it feels as though McMahon would either put an awful mask back on him or just release him once again. Kross has a great look, but a successful role hasn’t yet been found for him on the main roster.
7 Keep: Dexter Lumis
Dexter Lumis’ gimmick and the comedy it provides is something that McMahon would be a fan of. He has always enjoyed silly cartoon gimmicks and humor, and Lumis provides that in many ways. He has cooled off a bit since his initial return, but it feels like he would be safe if there was another mass firing.

Lumis has potential to do more in WWE if given the chance, even if he ends up turning heel down the line and becomes more sadistic in his character.
6 Fire: Emma
Emma has done pretty much nothing of note since her WWE return. It doesn’t feel like she will do more in terms of title pursuits, and a release would probably be likely if Vince McMahon was to ever return to the company.
This isn’t anything against her talents, as she has proven how good she can be over the years, but she would likely be at the top of the list when it comes to those who would be getting the boot.
5 Keep: Damage CTRL
Although Damage CTRL’s booking has received quite a lot of rightful criticism, the team of Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky have done the best they can under the circumstances, and they have established themselves more than many of the returns since Triple H took charge.
They provide great depth to the women’s division, and even though they have mostly been Bayley’s lackeys, they have been great in that role. Sky and Kai both still have a lot of potential as singles competitors, and one would hope that even Vince McMahon would be able to see how valuable they are to the division.
4 Fire: Hit Row
Even when Hit Row has Swerve Strickland in their ranks, Vince McMahon simply didn’t connect with the act. Their time on the main roster was only fleeting when he was in power, getting released around a month later.
Hit Row haven’t quite connected with WWE audiences since their return to the company, and if McMahon comes back he would probably fire Top Dolla, Ashante “Thee” Adonis, and B-Fab for a second time.
3 Keep: Chelsea Green
Much like with Dexter Lumis, Chelsea Green is someone who has a very defined personality and gimmick, and for someone like Vince McMahon, he would probably find her hilarious. It is surprising that she was let go in the first place, but if he were to come back, then she may even find herself higher up the card.
Green has been a hit ever since her return at the Royal Rumble, and it very much feels as though she has barely even gotten started yet.
2 Fire: Johnny Gargano
It is surprising to see how poorly Johnny Gargano has been handled by Triple H considering the fact he was pushed as the face of NXT. However, instead of the ultimate underdog, he is just another name on the roster.

McMahon unfortunately has a tendency for seeing smaller wrestlers and not seeing the positives they possess, and Gargano is someone who wouldn’t have a long lifespan under McMahon’s rule, which is likely a reason as to why he left in the first place.
1 Keep: Braun Strowman
It was very shocking when Braun Strowman was initially released from WWE, especially since he is the perfect type of wrestler that Vince McMahon.
If he were to return, he wouldn’t make the same mistake again when it comes to releasing Strowman.
