5 Recently Broken Up Wrestling Stables We Miss (& 5 We Don’t)
Isabella Bartlett
Professional wrestling is an ever-changing business with alliances and rivalries developing, progressing, starting, and ending by the week. Over the years, many notable factions - even those with the most success like the nWo in WCW, or The Shield, and Evolution in WWE, eventually have a breaking point.

In recent years, fans have seen several stables break apart, though some of these break-ups have been more welcome than others. When looking back at factions that have either seen vastly depleted numbers or those which are gone for good, there is a mixed bag in terms of whether fans miss them or are glad to see the back of them.
10 We Miss: Team Taz
Team Taz was a group that never truly got a proper chance to shine, with them mostly being used to put others over. This was a decent role, but fans wanted more. The alliance between Powerhouse Hobbs and Ricky Starks was gaining quite a lot of steam especially until they broke apart.
It must be noted that Starks is doing an incredible job on his own, but that still doesn’t mean fans don’t miss him standing by the side of Hobbs, Taz, Hook, and Brian Cage.
9 We Don’t Miss: Family Office
Whether it be the Hardy Family Office or the Andrade Family Office, fans are thrilled that this faction has come to an end. Whilst there are still loose connections between some of the members, this channel-changing group has thankfully come to an end.
No matter what AEW tried, this mish-mash of wrestlers had zero chemistry, no interesting feuds, and brought down the quality of the show when they were on it, even with a field of vastly talented individuals.
8 We Miss: Suzuki-gun
Over the last decade, Suzuki-gun has seen several iterations and many different members, but they have been a success at almost every turn, whether that be dominating NJPW, invading NOAH, or realigning briefly in AEW.
At the end of 2022, Minoru Suzuki announced that the members would part ways. This was the natural progression of things, but for such a constant in professional wrestling for over ten years, it feels like there is now a gaping hole where they used to be.
7 We Don’t Miss: D’Angelo Family
Tony D’Angelo may still have one follower, but the “D’Angelo Family” has lost several members over recent months, so they aren’t really much of a “family” anymore.
“Two Dimes” was released from WWE, and the members of Legado Del Fantasma left the faction too. However, there was little chemistry anyway, and fans are much happier now that the members of LDF are on the main roster, far away from the D’Angelo Family.
6 We Miss: The Baddies
Jade Cargill may still have Leila Gray by her side, but “The Baddies” as fans knew it has seen an upheaval. Initially, Cargill had Red Velvet and Kiera Hogan as allies in a group that had a lot of chemistry and a lot of potential.
However, both Velvet and Hogan have turned on Cargill, even though it felt like the surface hadn’t been scratched on what the group could have accomplished, which is a huge shame. Fans are already missing the original iteration of The Baddies.
5 We Don’t Miss: The Inner Circle
The Inner Circle had a great run in AEW for the most part, but towards the end of their time together, things were getting a little rough. As babyfaces, the likes of Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara weren’t working, and after three years, everyone needed something new.

With the Jericho Appreciation Society becoming the natural successor to this group, several members have experienced a refresh. The memories were good, but fans are happy to see the back of the Inner Circle.
4 We Miss: The Hurt Business
The Hurt Business ignited the best portion of Bobby Lashley’s career, and even after the group came to an end, he kept that momentum. For the other members, this wasn’t the case, and fans have been begging for the group to make a comeback ever since.
Fans may very well be getting their wish as WWE has hinted at MVP reforming the stable, so people may not be missing the Hurt Business for much longer. The likes of Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander have struggled without this group, so hopefully their fortunes turn around.
3 We Don’t Miss: Undisputed Elite
The Undisputed Elite imploded several months back, with Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, and Bobby Fish turning on the Young Bucks. With Cole returning after injury as a babyface and Fish leaving AEW, this will likely not get resolved any time soon, and that is probably for the best as the storyline wasn’t working all that well anyway.
The constant tension between The Bucks and other members was repetitive, and the short-lived alliance of The Undisputed Elite isn’t missed for the most part.
2 We Miss: The Dark Order (With More Members)
The Dark Order still has Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds, and John Silver in their ranks, but the Dark Order as fans knew it is no more. In the last year alone, Stu Grayson, Alan Angels, Anna Jay, Colt Cabana, and Preston Vance have all departed from the group, leaving them scarce.

At one point, this group was the most beloved in the whole of AEW, with fans pushing for them to win the Tag Team Titles, especially during the major role they played in Adam Page’s rise to stardom. With most of their members leaving and breaking away, it is saddening, and fans miss the original field of members.
1 We Don’t Miss: American Top Team & Men Of The Year
American Top Team is still a group in the MMA world, but in the case of AEW, they have seemingly parted ways with the company and with associates Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky, who have also broken up as a tag team.
American Top Team were often one of the worst parts of AEW programming, so fans are more than happy that they are no longer associated with AEW wrestlers and on TV.
