5 AEW Wrestlers Who Zelina Vega Should Manage (& 5 From Impact)

Writer Sophia Bowman

Zelina Vega, now better known as Thea Trinidad, was unceremoniously terminated from WWE. Reputedly, it was over her decision to not abide by WWE's new rules regarding third-party services like Twitch and OnlyFans. It's unlikely that she'll be the last casualty of that fight.

Trained by Tommy Dreamer, Vega could go back to wrestling full time but in WWE she found her calling as a manager. AEW and Impact are the two most most likely stops for her if she decides to stay with the wrestling business. There are a number of wrestlers in both promotions who could benefit greatly from her managerial talents.

10 IMPACT: Eric Young

Eric Young

During his first run in TNA/Impact, Eric Young made quite a name for himself. He got big enough that WWE brought him into NXT where he led the group SAnitY. After being called up to the main roster, WWE botched the whole thing, broke the group up, and released Young as part of Black Wednesday.

He found his way back to his old stomping grounds and quickly won the Impact World Championship. That being said, he could use someone like Vega managing him. Young is playing the heel well, and a heel manager like Vega could only make things better.

9 AEW: Big Swole

Big Swole

Fans have been critical of the AEW women's division pretty much since day one. But the last few weeks have seen the division get more focus and pick up steam. One of the wrestlers benefiting from that has been Big Swole. She is incredibly talented and just needed the right amount of TV time to get over.

Vega would be incredibly helpful to Swole, giving her someone to build hype and bring attention to her. Swole is currently the number one contender for Hikaru Shida's championship. Having Vega in her corner could get Swole to the next level.

8 IMPACT: Doc Gallows

Doc Gallows

Another WWE casualty of Black Wednesday, Gallows and his long-time tag team partner Karl Anderson found themselves suddenly unemployed. Back in Impact, Gallows is continuing to build his name in the industry.

Frankly, he could use a manager like Vega to scream at Impact officials on his behalf. She would also make an excellent manager for The Good Brothers as a team. Vega obviously has some experience managing tag teams that could be put to good use.

7 AEW: "Hangman" Adam Page

Adam Page

Whatever is going on with The Elite in AEW is incredibly unclear at this point. Cody no longer appears to be affiliated with them. And the connection between the remaining members is loose at absolute best.

"Hangman" Adam Page is in the worst position out of any of them. The machinations of #FTR destroyed his relationship with The Elite, making him into an unwilling solo act. What Page needs is someone in his corner looking out for him and pushing him to the top of AEW. He could easily be Vega's first client in All Elite Wrestling.

6 IMPACT: Taya Valkyrie

Taya Valkyrie

The women's division in Impact is one of the best and most competitive in the industry. A big reason for that is Taya Valkyrie, the First Lady of Slamtown. Her skill in the ring and mic abilities have kept her at the top of the division for years.

Having someone like Vega manage her could only enhance that. The potential for professional chemistry between the two might make for some incredibly interesting storylines. Plus, Vega would be the Attaché to the First Lady of Slamtown.

5 AEW: Mel

Mel

In the early days of AEW, a strange attempt was made to turn Brandi heel. She had a faction called The Nightmare Collective that included Awesome Kong, Mel and Luther. The whole thing fell apart quickly, leaving Mel in limbo ever since.

She pops up occasionally but hasn't been used with any consistency or focus. That's too bad since Mel is a talented in ring performer. She is exactly the kind of client who could truly benefit from Vega advocating for her behalf.

4 IMPACT: Moose

Moose

Moose's career has brought him international success. He's worked for NJPW, Evolve, ROH, and more. But the former NFL player is best known for his time with Impact Wrestling, where he became a two-time Impact Grand Champion.

While Moose has done well for himself, he needs someone like Vega at his side to keep him in the main event scene. Vega excels at changing the narrative, and bringing focus to overlooked talent who are on the edge of the title picture.

3 AEW: Sonny Kiss

Sonny Kiss

AEW's commitment to pushing Sonny Kiss seems to change from week to week. It's unfortunate since he's a unique, talented performer who could easily be one of their top wrestlers. Maybe he just needs someone to speak up for him.

Vega and Kiss would be an incredible duo, without question. She is the forceful advocate that Kiss needs to get him more screen time on Dynamite, as well as title shots. There is some huge potential in this pairing, particularly since the push his tag team with Joey Janela was receiving has been winding down.

2 IMPACT: Jordynne Grace

Jordynne Grace

If Impact has a dominant female powerhouse in its women's division, it's Jordynne Grace. This former champion looks like she could throw a Volkswagen Beetle at someone. It's entirely possible that she has, and will do it again someday.

She recently formed a new tag team with one of the best female wrestlers of all time, Jazz. In addition to an awesome partner, Grace could also use a manager. Vega and Grace could cultivate a real Heyman and Lesnar vibe.

1 AEW: Will Hobbs

Will Hobbs

In the last year, AEW has been able to build a few homegrown talents. While some of them are still looking for their first win, Will Hobbs has managed to break through to the next level. He even took things up a notch by joining Team Taz.

Keeping that in mind, this dominant performer needs a manager focused on him. To date, Hobbs hasn't spent much time on the mic and Vega knows how to cut a promo. Plus, the visual of the two of them standing in the ring together would be incredible.
