The first 12 of Kansas City’s instructs-eligible prospects (players like Kris Bubic and Carlos Hernandez are on the 40-man roster and thus not allowed to participate in the instructional league without receiving special permission from the league) are among these two groups.

The only members of BA’s midseason Top 30 rankings not on either roster are shortstop Brady McConnell, catcher Darryl Collins and infielder Erick Mejia. Interestingly, just two of the team’s 2020 draftees—lefty Asa Lacy and shortstop Nick Loftin—are on the two combined rosters.
