10 Booker T Quotes That We Can't Believe Are Real
Daniel Davis
Booker T is one of the greatest wrestlers in modern history. The multi-time world champion and WWE Hall of Famer was widely regarded as a well-rounded talent during his run as an active wrestler. Whether the role he played demanded intensity or humor, he could do it all, and it was all down to his charisma and enthusiasm. This enthusiasm has led to some memorable moments, and in particular, some of the most well-known quotes said by any wrestler.

While Booker T had a range of catchphrases that are easily identifiable, he's also said certain things that are so over the top and bizarre that it's hard to believe that even he uttered them. But, he did utter them, and they're part of what made him one of the most entertaining figures in pro-wrestling history.
10 "Batista Is Down!"
The height of Booker T's comedic work arguably came during his memorable stint as King Booker after he won the 2006 King of the Ring tournament. Sometime afterward, he sat in commentary during a match between Batista and Bobby Lashley. At some point, Finlay interfered with the match and he and Lashley both attacked Batista, dragging him out of the ring to slam him on the announcers table.
In the wake of the wreckage, Booker T stood over Batista's downed body, repeatedly exclaiming that the former Evolution member was down. All the while, Michael Cole and JBL tried to carry on with the commentary to no avail.
9 "Hulk Hogan, We're Coming For You N-----!"
In what was undoubtedly the biggest botch of his career, Booker T was cutting a backstage promo in WCW alongside Sister Sherri and his brother Stevie Ray as part of the Harlem Heat tag team. The focus of his promo was Hulk Hogan, to whom Booker T was directly addressing. Unfortunately, the intensity of the promo got the better of him.

While declaring Harlem Heat's intention to pursue tag team gold, he accidentally called Hulk Hogan the N-word. He reacted with immediate regret, briefly turning away from the camera before recomposing himself.
8 "He Just Left A Skid Mark On That Boy"
At some point in his career, Booker T walked away from active in-ring work and became a ring-side commentator. While calling a match between Mark Henry and Sheamus, Booker T witnessed a botched spot. The World's Strongest Man ran towards the Irishman, with the intention of ramming into him. Unfortunately, he slipped through the ropes, grazing Sheamus on his way out of the ring.
To chronicle what he had just seen, Booker T remarked that Mark Henry had, figuratively of course, left a skid mark on his opponent. It was a bizarre, but memorable moment.
7 "You Lookin' Real Jacked, Baby"
Years ago, the Wyatt Family was a dominant faction in WWE. During the height of the faction's push, Erick Rowan sat in one of the commentary booths during Backlash. To lend credence to the fearsome reputation necessary for Rowan's character, the commentators did their best to act frightened in his presence.
Booker T, meanwhile, decided to try and get on Erick Rowan's good side by repeatedly telling him, to no reaction, that he was looking exceptionally jacked. His words went completely unaddressed by both his broadcast partners and Rowan himself.
6 "Shucky Ducky, Check This One Right Here, Quack Quack"
Back when Trinity Fatu and Ariane Andrew were still under the WWE banner, they were known as Naomi and Cameron, respectively. The two women were part of the Funkadactyls and acted as valets and dancers for Brodus Clay. During one of their joint entrances, Booker T sat in commentary with Michael Cole.
To express his thrill over the two women's entrance, Booker T uttered an unforgettable expression that caused Michael Cole to ask, point-blank, what was wrong with him.
5 "You Know I Had A Dream, You Died?"
There is a tried and tested dynamic that WWE likes using with its commentary teams. It's a simple dynamic of two broadcast partners having contrasting opinions about anything and everything. It's effective and has stood the test of time, and this was the dynamic that Booker T and Michael Cole were asked to bring to life.
While calling a match between Mark Henry and Randy Orton, Booker T expressed his enmity for his broadcast partner by telling him that he once had a dream about him dying.
4 "Cody The Red-Nosed Reindeer"
Cody Rhodes has come a long way from his initial WWE run. At one point in time, he was a second-generation prospect trying to live up to his father's legacy. Now, he is one of the WWE Universe's best hopes of seeing Roman Reigns dethroned. But back in 2011, he was still the former, and during a match with Zack Ryder, he caught Booker T's attention.
As he sat in the commentary booth, Booker T grabbed a microphone and stood on the announcers table before addressing the crowd. He claimed to be in the holiday spirit and led the crowd in a song referring to Cody Rhodes as a red-nosed reindeer.
3 "Right On The Knee Bone, Connected To The Ankle Bone!"
The thought of CM Punk in a WWE ring is unthinkable in 2023. He is committed to his AEW run and has had a tumultuous relationship with Triple H, who is now largely responsible for the creative direction in WWE. This makes it all the more incredible that the two men were able to work matches together despite disliking one another in the past.
During one such match, they took part in a spot punctuated by Booker T's commentary. CM Punk had his legs wrapped around the ring-post. Seconds later, Triple H struck his knee with a chair, prompting Booker T to mention that the chair had hit CM Punk right on his knee, which he then described as being connected to the ankle bone.
2 "I'm About To Butter You Down Like A Biscuit"
Booker T has worked for three major wrestling promotions on American soil. He first rose to fame during his run at WCW before his subsequent move to WWE. However, after a six-year tenure under Vince McMahon's guidance, he found new life in TNA. During a particular episode, he sat in on commentary alongside his wife Sharmell.

He was admiring his wife, while referring to himself as "Black Snow" before promising to butter her down like a biscuit in a clear sexual innuendo.
1 "He Didn't Defy Gravity"
One of Booker T's most infamous commentary moments took place years ago during a match between Neville and the late great Luke Harper. A high-flying sequence played out in the ring. The match was in the midst of Neville's run in the 2015 King of the Ring tournament, which prompted JBL to point out that if Neville won the tournament, he could become WWE's first high-flying king.
For context, Neville's most well-known alias during his WWE tenure was "The Man That Gravity Forgot" due to his acrobatic move-set. JBL then pointed out that while the deceased Owen Hart was both a high-flyer and a king, he wasn't quite as acrobatic as Neville. This caused Booker T to then say that Owen Hart didn't defy gravity. It led to a brief silence as Hart died in 1999 after the equipment lowering him during his entrance at Over the Edge failed, causing him to fall to his death.
