10 Best NBA Point Guards Of The Last 10 Years, Ranked Worst to Best
Liam Parker
A good point guard is a focal point of a modern-day NBA offense. Fans have seen some insane guards step onto the court throughout league history. Magic Johnson, John Stockton, Steve Nash, Jerry West, and more have all helped define the position that is now arguably the most important in the NBA.

While there were many great players to play at the point guard position in NBA history, there's been a massive influx of talent at the position over the past decade. So, let's take a look back at the best players to play the position over the last 10 years.
10 Derrick Rose
It's wild to think about, but it's been nearly a decade since Rose's peak. He was awarded the 2011 MVP for his performance that season, and many thought that he was the next great superstar of the league. Instead, tragedy struck as he tore his ACL the following year.
Rose has been injury prone ever since, but he's still had great moments over the past decade. When he's been healthy and on the court, he's shown flashes of what made him incredible at the start of the 2010s. While he's transitioned into a sixth-man role in New York, his work at the start of the decade has him as one of the top point guards over the last 10 years.
9 Trae Young

In just four years, Trae Young has become one of the faces of the league and one of the greatest shooters in the league as well. He's also helped turn around the Atlanta Hawks, and make them an NBA Finals contender, which seemed impossible when he was drafted there.
Young has been selected to two All-Star teams and was named to the All-NBA third team this year. While he's yet to earn a championship ring, one has to think it's coming sooner rather than later.
8 Kemba Walker
Kemba Walker has been one of the quietest great players during his time in the league. Once the face of the Charlotte Hornets, he's since gone on to have successful stints in Boston and New York. While he's never won MVP or been a face of the league, Walker has been the symbol of consistency during his time in the NBA.
Walker has been selected to four All-Star teams, an All-NBA third team in 2019, and is still playing great over a decade into his run in the league. He likely won't make onto the cover of 2K or make the Hall of Fame, but he's been fantastic during his time on the court.
7 John Wall
John Wall is similar to Derrick Rose in that he's fantastic on the court, but he hasn't been there often. However, unlike the former MVP, he was on the court for more than he's been off it in the past decade. Granted, he's been injured a lot recently.
Wall has been selected to five All-Star teams, an All-NBA third team, and an All-NBA defensive team over the past 10 years. While he's spent the last two seasons wasting away in Houston, let's hope he can make it back on the court for a contender soon.
6 Kyle Lowry
Ten years ago, it would've been hard to see Lowry end up on this sort of list. First bouncing around in Memphis and then Houston, he was traded to Toronto in 2012 and then became the face of the Raptors for nearly a decade.
Over the last decade, he's been selected to five All-Star teams and an All-NBA third team in 2016. He was also one of the leaders on the Raptors 2019 championship squad, giving him a championship on his resume as well.
5 Kyrie Irving
Kyrie Irving is one of the more complicated figures of the last 10 years in the NBA. While he was once one of the driving forces behind Cleveland's 2016 championship, he's since been off the court for most of the past few years due to injuries and being anti-vaccine.

Even with that being said, Irving was still a massive force for most of his career. He's been selected to seven All-Star teams, an All-NBA second team, and two All-NBA third teams. While he's currently struggling as a member of the Brooklyn Nets, he's far too talented to keep down for long.
4 Damian Lillard
Damian Lillard is one of the most loyal players in the NBA. While most of the league bounces around from team to team, he's decided to remain in Portland. Due to that loyalty, he's been unable to capture a ring, which is the only thing missing on his resume.
Lillard has been selected to six All-Star teams, an All-NBA first team in 2018, and multiple All-NBA second and third teams. While he's lacking that elusive championship, he's one of the best individual players in the league.
3 Chris Paul
While his career may be winding down now, Chris Paul was the symbol of consistency during his time on the court. Paul can seemingly do it all on the floor, as he instantly becomes the leader of any team that he's on, and he's been on a lot of them.

During his career, Paul has been selected to 12 NBA All-Star teams, multiple All-NBA teams, and All-NBA defensive teams. While it still remains to be seen if he'll capture that ring, his legacy isn't dependent on it. He's one of the greatest point guards ever.
2 Russell Westbrook
Russell Westbrook is currently struggling as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, but his time in the league has been unmissable. He's without a doubt a future Hall of Famer and has made triple-doubles seem like an everyday occurrence.
During Westbrook's career, he's been selected to nine NBA All-Star teams and several All-NBA teams. He also has an MVP to his resume, as he earned it for his historic performance in 2017.
1 Stephen Curry
Stephen Curry isn't just the best point guard of the last decade, he's arguably the greatest point guard of all time. He's helped single-handly innovate the position and made draining three-pointers an average night at the office.
During his time in the league, he's done it all. He's a three-time NBA champion, two-time MVP, eight-time NBA-All Star, and has been selected to multiple All-NBA teams.
