Backlash 2023 wasn't the most hotly anticipated PLE because some of the matches that were randomly thrown together and there wasn't a huge buzz going into the event. Nevertheless, Backlash didn't fail to disappoint with some outstanding in-ring performances, and some wrestlers' attires went head and shoulders above their colleagues.

Of course, wrestlers want their matches to be spoken about but some wrestlers put effort into their in-ring gear which will catch the eye of the WWE Universe. With Backlash 2023 becoming the first PLE to take place in San Juan, Puerto Rico since New Year's Revolution 2005, a few wrestlers paid homage to the fans with their wrestling attire.
10 Bad Bunny
Bad Bunny is one of the biggest names in the music world, and he was the hometown favorite in his San Juan Street Fight against the Judgment Day's Damian Priest, who ironically was his tag team partner at WrestleMania 37. Bunny looked ready for battle in his in-ring gear and the pair of Puerto Ricans did not let their hometown fans down.
Bunny's top was brown as were his trousers. He wore some brown gloves, and his shoes were white. Bunny arguably had the standout performance of the night as he had a physical battle with Priest, and he got over the line with the Bunny Destroyer.
9 Bobby Lashley
Bobby Lashley was drafted from Raw to SmackDown in the 2023 WWE Draft, and he was looking to capture the WWE United States Championship for the fourth time in his career, when he challenged Austin Theory in a triple threat match that also involved Bronson Reed. Lashley got the crowd going with his in-ring entrance.
Lashley's tights were a fantastic look as black and white always look good. The Almighty was close to recapturing the United States Championship after he speared Reed, but Theory pushed him out of the way and covered him to retain the United States Championship.
8 The Usos
Backlash 2023 was the first WWE premium live event that The Usos walked into since Money in the Bank 2021 without holding a championship which was a phenomenal achievement. They competed in a six-man tag team match alongside their younger brother Solo Sikoa against Matt Riddle and the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.
The Usos and Sikoa represented the Bloodline, and the Usos always dress to impress. They wore all black, and their sneakers were red. Cracks began to show between the eight-time Tag Team Champions The Usos and Sikoa but they remained united as they saw off Riddle, Owens, and Zayn with a huge win.
7 Bianca Belair
Bianca Belair always put a lot of effort into her ring gear and whilst she is an exceptional in-ring competitor, she has an eye for fashion which shows how multi-talented she is. The EST of WWE opened up Backlash in a Raw Women's Championship title defense against Damage CTRL's Iyo Sky.

They tore the house down in a marvelous Raw Women's Championship match. Belair sported a bright pink outfit and she had EST etched around her waist. Despite outside interference from Damage CTRL, Belair retained the Raw Women's Championship and she was drafted to SmackDown with Belair most likely to trade the title with SmackDown Women's Champion Rhea Ripley who remains on Raw.
6 Bayley
Bayley didn't compete at Backlash 2023 but that didn't stop her from getting involved in her stablemate Iyo Sky's Raw Women's Championship match with Bianca Belair. Damage CTRL have feuded with Belair since SummerSlam 2022, and they are trying to get the better of Belair but they have come up short several times.
The three-time WWE Women's Champion had a bright outfit as she wore a yellow top and she wore some black pants. Nevertheless, Bayley's efforts were unsuccessful once again with Belair retaining the Raw Women's Championship and thus becoming the longest-reigning Raw Women's Champion in WWE history at 400 days and counting.
5 Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins' wrestling attires have been flamboyant and he has a lot of fans singing his "Visionary" theme song which has added to his popularity as one of the leading babyfaces in WWE. The four-time WWE World Champion was in action against the Nigerian Giant Omos, and it was arguably the best match that Omos has had in his WWE career.
Rollins' attire looked great as expected as his entrance jacket was black and his tights were a mixture of grey and black. Rollins is one of the contenders to win the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions 2023, and he saw off Omos with a Stomp off the top rope.
4 Rhea Ripley
Rhea Ripley defeated Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women's Championship at WrestleMania 39, and she defended the gold for the first time since winning the title against Zelina Vega. The Eradicator was dressed for the occasion, and she looked like a champion with a stunning outfit.

She wore a black jacket on her way to the ring, and Ripley traditionally wears black and purple, but she rocked a white outfit at Backlash. The Nightmare has worn white in the past and it has always been a good look for Ripley. She eased her way past Vega with little trouble to remain as SmackDown Women's Champion.
3 Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes has Cuban heritage and he didn't fail to disappoint with his in-ring gear for Backlash. The American Nightmare's red, white, and blue is his trademark color and he wore the Puerto Rican flag on the back of his jacket which drew some more fans on his side.
Rhodes clashed with Brock Lesnar in the main event of Backlash 2023, and they had a decent match where the Beast Incarnate was shedding a lot of blood. Rhodes was triumphant, and the "WOAH" was loud as expected from the Puerto Rican crowd.
2 Damian Priest
Damian Priest would have been bitterly disappointed to have been omitted from WrestleMania for the second year in succession, but WWE made it up to him in a huge way as his San Juan Street Fight with Bad Bunny was billed as the "double main event." Despite being born in New York City, Priest has Puerto Rian heritage and the powerhouse of the Judgment Day's in-ring attire was sleek.
Priest sported a white jacket and his tights were white with the Puerto Rican flag etched onto it. Priest looked like a star and credit has to be given to him for doing the job for Bad Bunny who had a war of attrition that lasted 25 minutes.
1 Zelina Vega
Unquestionably, Zelina Vega wore the attire of the night at Backlash 2023. The former Queen's Crown winner challenged Rhea Ripley for the SmackDown Women's Championship, and head to toe she was draped in Puerto Rican colors.
Vega was the underdog in her SmackDown Women's Championship match with the Eradicator, but she received a standing ovation and she was emotional. She deserved to have a longer match with Ripley but it wasn't to be with Ripley overpowering her to retain the title.
